Just wanted to drop that little nugget of info. Does it mean anything in the grand scheme of things? Not much, but we at least know he doesn't wear cement spikes ;)

Whitehurst ran similarly.

If we came out of the draft with either of these guys as the QBOF I'd be very happy.

He also threw up 23 reps on the bench which is pretty awesome for a QB.

I'm looking for that verified somewhere. If true, DAMN! Because that's how many Marcedes Lewis threw up too. I watched some of the QBs on the combine today...Cutler has a monster arm, and I don't doubt the 23 reps, but I'd like to see proof in print somewhere.

He's got a shotgun of an arm as far as I could tell. Throws the sideline-out pattern with ease. He looks like a good player at least in shorts lol. Hard to tell though just based on these combines. One thing I do like about him is that you know he is probably pretty smart going to Vandy. No dummies at that school.

Exactly. Who cares how many reps at 225 he can do. Thats pretty much a meaningless stat for a QB.

Well, with him proving he's not slow, and his ability to throw as well as he's been hyped, he'd be hard to pass up at 10. Not to say he's a QB without blemishes, but I'd be thrilled to get him, and do so without giving up the huge $$$ we'd have to pay in the top 5.

Yet another reason to fix our RB position in FA. We could then draft a QB without worrying about having to take White.

I watched some of he QB drills and to be honest Cutler looked like Cutler. He threw the ball great, with great velocity, and put it right where he had to. He ran well and showed nice mobility and the bench emphasized his upper body strength, being able to throw off balance. What always drivs me nuts is that I can't stop thinking aout his poor performance in the senior bowl. He made some dumb throws and it cost his team. Cutler has all the practice and workout ability of an all pro, I have just never seen him use it on the field. The one thing that I worry about him is what I love about Warner and that is field vision. McCown drove me nuts when he consistently missed open receivers down the field and I wonder if Cutler will be the same way. No way I can really tell without game film, but it is a great concern to me. As far as where he ranks in the draft, I would say about 15-25. But Vince Young to me ranks about high second round and I also believe Aaron Rodgers is probably the only QB in the last 4 years to be drafted where he deserved to be.

Would I be happy if we reached for Cutler at 10...I guess it depends on free agency. If we snag J Lewis, Bentley and a guy like Grady Jackson, I could see the value in drafting Cutler. If not, then I believe that we have more immediate needds that need to be addressed at number 10.

Pretty fair assessment, overall.

You can't honestly believe that Cutler will last until #10....cuz if you do, you haven't been following how other teams are thinking about him.

I'm not sure. I'm wondering if the Jets and Titans are blowing smoke about the kid, and I wonder if Martz will pass on the kid. Dunno. Big Ben made it to 13.

Ben R. started his senior year higher rated than Cutler. I wouldn't be surprised, at all, if he winds up available at #10.

Nobody's trying to say Cutler is fast...they are saying he's not a statue.

And Vick is a freaking headcase, who will be worse than his vastly overhyped throwing running back of a brother.

I agree especially when the Jets could trade Abraham for a proven QB like Brees or Rivers as speculated and the Titans will take Young at 3. DET would be our only concern but they will go WR again IMO.

Well, first off.....Ben was drafted at #11.

There isn't a player that is rising as quickly in the draft than Cutler. If you have been following the Combine, EVERYONE (COACHES INCLUDED) ARE GUSHING OVER THIS GUYS PERFORMANCE.

I can count four teams in the top 6 that are in need of a QB (NO; TN; NYJ;and OAK). Unless you have been cloning Brees in your basement, he'll be the only FA QB to land as a starter with any of these teams.

Cutler will be taken in the top five......and my guesss is that he'll go at #3 to TN.

Rumor has the Saints interested in Cutler........scouts have him touted as the next Brett Favre: NFL Network right now.

Spanky is 100% right when he says that everyone is in love with Cutler right now and it is a legit perspective. This guy does everything on a practice field to be a top Qb. I watched him at the combine and he got ME excited. The problem is that I also watched him at the senior bowl and he stunk up the field with dumb decisions, one in the red zone. I have said it for awhile now, I could see him being the first QB taken if things fall right. I knew that he would have a strong showing in drills because he has all the tools. He is told to do something and he has the ability to do it. The combine was a no lose situation because neither Leinart or YOung decided to participate, and he was already the #3 QB. Now that he has shined, if Leinart has a average showing and Young limits his drills, Cutler goes number 2.

I still believe that Leinart is the only top 5 QB in this draft, but I can see him slip and really hope he does. If so, and the Jets pass on Leinart, we would be stupid to not trade up and get him.

Easy, bro. I said I don't know. He could go #2 overall for all I know, or he can drop. What's gold one day is not the next. I'm just saying he may or may not be available at #10. That's all.
