Hold onto the ball, Murray!
Just wanted to drop that little nugget of info. Does it mean anything in the grand scheme of things? Not much, but we at least know he doesn't wear cement spikes
HookemCards said:He also threw up 23 reps on the bench which is pretty awesome for a QB.
D-Dogg said:I'm looking for that verified somewhere. If true, DAMN! Because that's how many Marcedes Lewis threw up too. I watched some of the QBs on the combine today...Cutler has a monster arm, and I don't doubt the 23 reps, but I'd like to see proof in print somewhere.

He ran well and showed nice mobility and the bench emphasized his upper body strength, being able to throw off balance. What always drivs me nuts is that I can't stop thinking aout his poor performance in the senior bowl. He made some dumb throws and it cost his team. Cutler has all the practice and workout ability of an all pro, I have just never seen him use it on the field. The one thing that I worry about him is what I love about Warner and that is field vision. McCown drove me nuts when he consistently missed open receivers down the field and I wonder if Cutler will be the same way. No way I can really tell without game film, but it is a great concern to me. As far as where he ranks in the draft, I would say about 15-25. But Vince Young to me ranks about high second round and I also believe Aaron Rodgers is probably the only QB in the last 4 years to be drafted where he deserved to be.
Would I be happy if we reached for Cutler at 10...I guess it depends on free agency. If we snag J Lewis, Bentley and a guy like Grady Jackson, I could see the value in drafting Cutler. If not, then I believe that we have more immediate needds that need to be addressed at number 10.
Stout said:Well, with him proving he's not slow, and his ability to throw as well as he's been hyped, he'd be hard to pass up at 10. Not to say he's a QB without blemishes, but I'd be thrilled to get him, and do so without giving up the huge $$$ we'd have to pay in the top 5.
Yet another reason to fix our RB position in FA. We could then draft a QB without worrying about having to take White.

There isn't a player that is rising as quickly in the draft than Cutler. If you have been following the Combine, EVERYONE (COACHES INCLUDED) ARE GUSHING OVER THIS GUYS PERFORMANCE.
I can count four teams in the top 6 that are in need of a QB (NO; TN; NYJ;and OAK). Unless you have been cloning Brees in your basement, he'll be the only FA QB to land as a starter with any of these teams.
Cutler will be taken in the top five......and my guesss is that he'll go at #3 to TN.
