As TJ has pointed out three time now, he is schedule to meet with the police later today with his lawyer. He is not hiding.

Was trying to be funny--didn't mean to ruin anyone's hysteria. Carry on.

I personally give D Wash the benefit of the doubt and until he is proven guilty I am on his side. His ex is probably some crazy woman who just wants his money.

Sorry, read while at work. Working from home this afternoon and the pants are off. I am reading things much more clearer now. I won't make that mistake again.

Innocent until proven guilty does not take sides. That is kind of the point of it.

I know but D Wash is one of my favorite players so it is hard for me not to take his side. I just really hope he is innocent after all is said and done so he can focus on getting his life together.

Man... If he's out for the year, losing buth him and Rhodes, two of our best three playmakers last year could make for a SERIOUSLY ugly year on D.

If hes done, this D will have amongst the weakest/youngest linebacking corps in the league and Really suspect safeties. That's a recipe for disaster.

FWIW: What the hell is wrong with the judgement of LB's from TCU?

Not your fault man--sometimes I'm just not that funny.

(And quite honestly I just really hope there's nothing to this. Something always seems to come up with this team, it's depressing. I felt like we had momentum with the new staff and FA and draft, and the one anchor dragging it down is one of my favorite players)

But we'll definitely be stronger against the run because Todd Bowles.

D (umbass) Wash hasn't learned his lesson. Considering his recent judgement, I am leaning towards guilty....but hope not.

its ironic that washington was one of the guys the org kept referring to as a level headed leader to keep mathieu's head on straight.
I didn't get the slightest hint of him having an attitude or violence problem off the field when I talked to him. He made a great first impression. Very VERY nice guy. Humble as well

thank you for those TJ, sure raises extra questions regarding the accuser...
Still the apparent marks around her throat are troubling.
agreed. But for some people, the idea of making them settle out of court for a couple years salary would be worth having a friend choke em. And many girls bruise easily, I knew one that bruised super easily during social activities

According to source: Accuser in Cards LB Daryl Washington domestic violence case was booked a few years back for attacking a boyfriend

some of you are koolaid drinkers; way, way, way to quick to buy into the helpless female crap.

Over 50% of all orders of protection filed in 2011 were done so at the same time DV papers were filed. Coincidence? My ex-wife filed an order of protection on me at the same time she filed for DV; nothing occurred, she just used this as a tool to have power over me. Well, for 9 days before I stood before the judge with her on the other side of the aisle and had it quashed.

Domestic violence groups are the most prominent voices in child support committee meetings at the state level; if you take their word, every male is a bad guy, beats everyone up, and therefore needs to pay more in child support because of it. Anyone watching the Jodi Arias debacle? This Alyce Laviolette lady is a prime example of the type of "expert" running the table at committees; biased, subjective, and on a mission.

Those of you who have been through any family court/domestic relations situation know what I am talking about. Those of you who have not (yet at least) havent a clue, and it would be great if you sat in the corner of the room with your trap closed until you do have to experience the circus which is.

Chic probably knows his back is to the wall (we all know this from coming to this message board right?). Women will want to make you hurt IN EVERYWAY THEY CAN when you break their hearts (or piss them off, not give into their wants and desires, or move on to another). Support the guys due process! jeez guys...

Yep, the manhunt was long and extensive.:sarcasm:
lol, right. Cops don't actively search for someone wanted for questioning unless a high-profile murder case. They went to his house, didn't find him, so now he and his lawyer reached out to them, they wont even stop back by, they'll just wait

yup. Domestic Violence charges are often filed in divorces as a tactical move as you don't need a shred of proof to get an order of protection or injunction

For those of you who are busy writing out Daryl Washington's obituary, I want to give you all one name to remember while doing so:

Ben Roethlisberger.

Remember when Big Ben was going through his rape chargers? Who was his coordinator? Bruce Arians. Twice he was accused, and you can argue he got off on the second one due to a technicality. But each time, Bruce had his back. So much so that when Bruce was purged from the Steeler's coaching staff, Big Ben lobbied to the front office to get him back.

During these events, Big Ben was labeled a "screw up" and there were reports of him being traded or released. But since his suspension, Roethlisberger has not found himself in anytrouble since, is still the captain of the offense, and is still a productive QB. Today, Steeler fans have largely forgiven and forgotten about the events, and the front office and coaching staff (Bruce included) look smart for giving him that support.

What does this have to do with the price of tea in Arizona? Daryl Washington is drawing the ire of many fans. He just got busted for drugs and will have to serve a four-game suspension. He is wanted for questioning in a domestic violence case. His stock is pretty low at the moment. But much like Big Ben, I expect Bruce to support Washington through this matter with hopes that he matures and becomes the unquestioned leader of this defense. People make mistakes, sometimes numerous ones; especially those at Washington's age.

With that said, before we start jumping to conclusions about Washington being jettisoned from the team, or even being found guilty in this DV case, remember how our coach was one of the few who stood by the side of one of the league's most loathed individuals. By comparison, Washington's situation is rather benign. Let this thing pass, hope that he matures from this, and continue to marvel at his playmaking ability.

Amazing how quickly the 'fans' turn against the players they cheer for.

I give Washington full benefit of the doubt.

The vast majority on this thread have said the same thing. There's maybe a couple of people here that have passed judgement, the rest of us are crossing our fingers and holding our breaths.

We don't know what happened. His girlfriend could have been beating the crap out of him and he grabbed her by the throat to stop her. I am not going to judge the guy until all the info comes out. Guys do have their limits as to how much they will take. I myself draw the line if I take a kick to the groin. At that point the woman takes a beating like a man. I'm all for not hitting women and all but sometimes it happens. I have seen some very violent woman. A girl that I use to spar with was Eastern Champion of the US and she could take out most men.
