Sure, but no one's going to give up major young talent or a potential high draft pick for Nash. It's just not going to happen. You want to talk about trading Richardson if Stoudemire leaves, sure, a case can definitely be made for that.

You may be right but I think there's a fair chance we could get a first round pick for Nash next season at the trading deadline. If we manage his minutes all it would take is one team that views itself as just short of it's goal (either to make the playoffs, advance in the playoffs or win it all).

But that automatically makes it pick in the second half of the first round, where the odds against finding a franchise player are astronomical.

If the Suns knock off the Spurs and throw a scare into the Lakers, I could imagine Nowitzki coming to Phoenix for the MLE.

I couldn't imagine any scenario where this would be even remotely possible. it would be awesome... but there's just no way.

I would rather have Dirk on a say 3 years 50M$ contract to replace Amare than Bosh on a 5year/90M$. If we had to replace Amare.

If not I don't know how far we are under the luxury tax that we could resign Amare and Frye and spent the MLE on someone like Jermaine O'Neal, Tyrus Thomas, Tyson Chandler, Amir Johnson or whoever becomes available.

Change automatically to probably and astronomical to long and I'd agree with you. However, every 1st round pick is a chip. Collect enough chips and you can get into the game and that's better than limping along as an almost contender, IMO.

Agree. Bosh just doesn't affect the game Dirk and Amare can, despite a great scorer himself. Dirk is clutch and Amare sets picks and runs and cuts better than any bigman. But I don't want Tyrus. Lou is equally good if not better already. JO or Amir J would be fine though.
