I swear there are some posters on here that would have been happier if the Cards would have lost to Green Bay in the playoffs instead of having to watch Karlos Dansby running into the end zone with the game winner.

Dansby is a good to great player who has less loyalty than your average NFL player. It's all about his career, and about his money.
If he's on my team, I'm happy to have him. But I have no personal loyalty to any player of Dansby's ilk. IMO he has no chance at any type of legacy, other than always seeking the biggest payday possible.
I see no reason to obsess about him any further, he's gone and he won't be back.
Dansby was, is and will always be a mercenary for hire. His loyalty will be to whomever is paying him at the time. No more, no less. His loyalty belongs to the highest bidder. Why he thinks he should be in the ring of honor or have a statue built in honor of him is beyond my understanding when he conducts business the way he does. The two thoughts don't go together. Statues and such are built to honor long commitment by someone to something or to a hero for doing something extraordinary, not to someone who is basically a gun for hire.
He played well during his time here. He got paid for it. To me that is the end of the story.

As for AZF, his assertion that Dansby was the highest paid ILB in the league was true for about five weeks. The same offseason when Dansby was signed by Miami, San Francisco extended the contract of Patrick Willis and made him the league's highest-paid linebacker.
