Sounds about right.

If they only paid him the vet. minimum he would not be able to cash a check big enough to screw over the Cardinals again, walk out on the team again, and fund his life for free again.

Cannot WAIT to see if he signs anywhere since I do not see any team signing him to anything substantial
Right!....*******. If he had any conscience he would have signed the minimum and made good.

my opinion...
Dwash was under contract..the bonus had already been paid..perfectly understandable that dwash expected to play out the contract he already had.
in the big picture it was not that much if he can still play.

either way it does not matter...dude has not been a Cardinal for years

Nonsense. After getting no payoff for a $10 million check, the Cards had no reason to guarantee his full salary against injury by letting him work out or participate in the preseason. No one knows if he can still play. The fact that it took this long for teams to start sniffing around him makes you wonder if anyone besides certain banned posters on this board still does.

He's now campaigning to join the Cowboys.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ts-to-help-jerry-jones-hoist-lombardi-trophy/

Daryl Washington lives four miles from AT&T Stadium, so close he can see the home of the Cowboys from his Arlington neighborhood. The former Pro Bowl linebacker just wants a second chance, with any team, but admits he would love to wear the star on the side of his helmet.

“Why not be a Cowboy?” Washington told Pro Football Talk over breakfast with his attorney, Daniel B. Moskowitz. “I’m settled in here. It’s home. Let’s try to get one this year. Come on Mr. [Jerry] Jones, you’ll be glad you took a chance on me. We’ll hold up that Lombardi Trophy together.”

I'm really curious to see if anyone shows any interest in him. It's not like he's a typical veteran where you can wait until the last minute and then sign him during camp. He's in a situation where you would think that if teams really wanted him, they would bring him in as soon as possible. Definitely don't seem him playing for much more than the minimum.

My point, excuses are valid for some players and other not
Luck has been labeled the best qb prospect since payton manning
He is not even close
I dont say he is not a good but there are at least 7/8 qb better then him

I agree, Luck just comes across as a modern day Jeff Hostetler so far

Comparing Luck to Hostetler is completely insane. Luck has been phenomenal, considering that awful OL he's had to play behind. Give him the Dallas line and a competent running game, and you'd be comparing him to Brady or Marino.

Luck has also battled through some incredible injuries, inept front office, and a severe lack of talent, particularly on the o-line.

The QBs I'd take over Luck are:

Brady
Rodgers
Brees

That's it.

If if was for just this upcoming season, I would take those guys along with Big Ben, Palmer and Carr over Luck. Luck this year will perform about like Rivers from what he has shown so far. I am not going to say a guy is great when that hinges on assumptions of why not... and you can throw Matt Ryan ahead of him too :)

IMHO, I would take Luck over Matt Ryan all day, and twice on Sundays.

I'd take Luck over Palmer, and Derek Carr (a player who I really like BTW)......Big Ben is in another league then the rest of the names you list, he just doesn't get the credit because he is a slimball outside of football.

Wow, where did this thread go? Talk about a derailment! Create another thread about the luck, Ryan argument and leave this one alone.
