I wasn't informed whether they could be major or minor, nor was I told what they might involve. Most importantly, the words "don't be surprised" were used as opposed to "expect changes". In other words, let's not jump to conclusions. I speculated during the broadcast that it might involve a benching, a player released, or a player acquired, and that was all that I said. I am as frustrated as you guys about what's been going on the first six games. Let's just wait and see what, if anything, happens during the bye week. I feel for your guys, but hang in there.

Best,

Dave Pasch

Dave,
You are bright spot amongst a dark and frustrating set of circumstances. I listened to almost all of your broadcast today. You are a terrific play-by-play announcer and I hope you are getting some "psychic income" from covering the Cardinals in addition to whatever they are paying you. It must be really hard to be matter-of-fact when watching blocked punts, blown coverages, fumbles, INTs, rushing for losses and dropped passes. Keep up the great work.

That was unreal! I was there also and I could not believe that formation. At least keep the defense honest and think that we might run it.

I don't even want to know what Sullivan's thinking was on that play. That play had no chance of succeeding.

Did you hear Mac about Kasper? He stated that Kasper should not have been dresses for this game because he is still injured. Then why the hell did they use kasper for an end around play.

I am sick and tired of loosing and having to cover up for our poor coaching. Fire Mac and his staff today except Sully for some continuity!!!!

Allan:mad:   :cards:

Sully may have been great with the WRs, but the LAST thing we need from this coaching staff is continuity.

Unfortunately Sully will have to accompany the rest of the staff out the door in order to achieve a complete purge.

continuity only in the fact is that he knows the players. at the end of the season offer him the recieves coaching job and if he says no. fire him.

No that is continuity!!!

Change

I think it's obvious that Jeff Blake is not the answer. We don't know if Josh McCown is but now (bye week) is the time to find out. While mistakes beat us yesterday the effort was certainly there and that shows, IMO, that the team hasn't quit on Coach Mac. While I thought the defense played hard the Ravens had an offense that didn't expose our lack of a pass rush so I guess we shouldn't get too excited about their performance. But they did play hard and Jamal Lewis earned every yard. But the QB position is the most important on the team and now is the time to learn whether we have one.

I think it's great that Dave would come on here and clarify what he said before the speculators and rumor mongers run rampant with whatever this story morphs into. Thanks Dave!

I do not get to hear Dave's commentary during the games (I guess Jim O. has been a little slow to expand the Cardinal radio network into New Jersey ;) ), but it's great to have that kind of access - and I include Jim O. here too - where we can kind of get "the inside scoop" on things.

Thanks guys!

When we lined up like that I assumed 2 things, either Blake was going to run it, or one of the 5 WR's (boldin?) would shift into the backfield because as you say it's so obvious you're going to throw from that formation.

I was hoping for a QB draw. He would have gotten that 1st. But No... Over thows the ball. I thought the way we played yesterday had some promising moments. But Blake turned the ball over too many times. In any other team he would be benched. We have no confidence in our backups. I think that is why we have to suffer. Even the D played well in the red zone. We couldn't stop the run but Luckily they didn't try running in the red zone. Turnovers is what is killing this team. The cause for most of them is Blake. I thought when he sucked in the quarteback challenge, it was a fluke. He is making the same throws though.

I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to figure out who "playa #2" is.
.....or is it just total coincidence that the two posts are the only 2 posted between 10 pm and 6:30 am and both occur within 20 minutes of each other, around 1:30 am?????

I would also guess that there were some "spirits" speaking there, too. :D

As I've said before, Sundays, especially after a Card's loss really seems to get dominated by drunks and "youth-arrested" "masterminds" Monday's aren't much better, but at least some of the rants are more the result of hangovers than fried brain.

....and Nidan. Hang in there. From what I can see, the present heat you are taking from a few here, I wouldn't think surprises you too much, based on some of the mentality we see displayed here quite often. My suggestioin: As a general rule, but especially on Sun/Mon . . . keep this in mind:

Whenever I see everyone rushing in one direction, I know it's time to move the other way.-- Armand Hammer (1898-1990), Industrialist and philanthropist

That seems to soooo apply here quite often.

He hasn't been around long enough to fire him!

Tango:

I would agree that in most things in life..comments like the one by Armand Hammer are generally correct... For trends in society, investing the markets (which I am involved in) and for alot of sports teams - contrarian type thinking works more often than not.. I have also concluded that for the most part - it does not apply to the Cardinals. They continue to find a way to create a new low every few seasons.

If they were firing Mac wouldn't it be before the bye week, so that the new coach would have more time to get things organized?

I think this "get rid of Mac/vigilantism" rhetoric, is just that....and nothing more.

Mac isn't going anywhere, soon.

Nor should he be.

It may be wishful thinking on some people's part, but that's about it. As a former business manager and owner, I sure wouldn't take too seriously a lot of the wild speculations of some of the couch potato QB's who delude themselves into thinking that they know more than most of people running the Cards organization.

Yes, it's very obvious that the Cards organization knows what they are doing.

How can it not be obvious to people that this team is on the verge of a Super Bowl? People get way too hung up on this "win-losses" and "points" things.

Maybe the "change" will be that they come out in the 3-4 defense after the bye week.

They have far more talent at LB than they do on the DLine and need to get that talent on the field.

DJohnson,Tanner/Bell,Pace with Thompson,McKinnon,Darling,Hayes/Fisher as the LB's.

I highly doubt we will see any serious changes. It just isnt this teams style to get radical and make something happen. I wish something, anything would happen. I am already jonesin for some cards news and we are just starting the bye week! I dont know if I can make it through the bye without something happening! I am addicted to the Cards!!
