Dbacks @ Braves series thread July 14th - July 16th

I wish it were as simple as blaming me but I've been to 6 or 7 games this season.

But if that makes you guys feel better, I can take it.



This game was really weird. It felt like the Dbacks, especially in the top of the 6th when we finally got the wheel turning. Descalso and Goldy driving in runs to give us the lead had me thinking we were finally waking up.

Then Delgado, who is like Jekyll and Hyde this season, just imploded. I knew the bullpen was overperforming at one point, but Rodney before the break, Archie the last couple outings and Delgado melting down,,,, what happened to these guys?

C'mon Bert, Delgado imploded? He gave up two of the weakest hits I have ever seen in my 65 years and then gets robbed on strike 3 that would have ended the inning. The inning should have been over. He got robbed!

As far as your vain selfie curse, it is real. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I believe that the only way to turn this around is for me, you, Dude, 82, Dback Jon, Shaggy, Devilalum, BC867 and whoever (or whomever, don't care which) we can scare up, get together and go see a game to break this freaking streak!

We are now only two games up on the Rockies. And this extended slump is now let a bunch of others teams into the Wildcard party... the Cubs, Braves, Cardinals, Pirates, Mets and Marlins all have life...
The Dbacks have serious holes that will continue to make winning consistently very difficult. As I have said in other threads, I would not at all be surprised to see this team miss out on the playoffs... Just too many fatal flaws.

We would have to wear head to toe Dback gear and hurl insults at them the entire game. I was thinking about that yesterday. Oh man I wish I still lived in Arizona.

As to @Bert I did look up the date of the selfie it's hard to deny. To top it off he didn't tell them they stink and have to chance of making the playoffs.

This is the biggest funk ever. This is way beyond just not being as good as we hoped, these guys all have serious mental issues.

And yes 82, dont worry we are all aware that you've always thought this team sucked and wont be surprised when they implode, we've seen the posts and we will all be sure to award you full points when your multiple predictions of failure come true.

I hope this isn't a situation where the hot start will prevent the team from trading pieces that would've rebuilt the system.

I hate to say it but they really jumped the rails after Rodney blew the save in LA. That seemed to really kill the team spirit. They haven't been the same since.
