10 1/2 games back..... just 2 weeks or so ago we were 2.5 games back as I recalll.

Ugh just makes me sick to my stomach now.... i have a bad feeling the dbacks may miss the playoffs if they dont turn this around.

Hate to say it but everytime the past week or so when i google the dbacks i expect to see them down what happend to this team? Maybe the dbacks should hold a player only meeting.....

I don't buy that. We may not have been quite as good as we were, but our roster is nowhere near as bad as it has been lately.

The skipper's obsession with starters pitching seven innings no matter what reflects a good goal to build up to, but not as a hard and fast procedure in every situation. Especially when it precludes using a pinch hitter when it could make a difference in the outcome of the game. Another D-backs manager acting like an American League manager in the National League. We've had too many of those.

And keeping an erratic 40 year old closer on the job because his shooting an arrow into the air as a marketing tool doesn't build the confidence, or respect, of relievers who deserve it more.

And a careless defense with Catchers and infielders playing the outfield.

And the owner saving money by hiring inexperienced Managers.

And a coaching staff that cannot complete the simple chore of teaching right handed batters to hit against lefty pitchers. It defies logic.

The "real deal" is the ongoing incompetent leadership on this team. Any fan can look at a roster and be able to tell where the fault lies. Our roster is better than its recent performance. Our leadership is not.
