Looking into my Melvin crystal ball - "I am kinda surprised by the eight runs he gave up. He was hitting his spots and they didn't hit him very hard....Still we were encouraged by his velocity."

Prince Fielder and Rickie Weeks will be fun to watch this series. Tough start to the year for Fielder though....

This is the first time I've seen Ortiz pitch since last year against the Dodgers. He looks out of shape to me.

1-2-3 in the first

Gonzo drives one deep. 1-0 Dbacks.

I guess Ortiz allergic to leads... he gives it right up...

Green grounds into a double-play and wastes a walk by Jackson.

ALRIGHT ORTIZ!!!!!!!!!!! Why is he always in trouble?????? Jesus Christ

Because he walks alot of batters ... he always has. However he'd get his way out of it when he was successful

We've only hit one ball out of the infield since the 2nd inning. You've gotta be kidding me.... We're in the freakin 7th inning

Our offense is starting to piss me off. All Spring Training I heard about this team's patience but they're swinging at bad pitches early in the count and refuse to go the opposite way

Can't hang that one on Ortiz. He didn't pitch well but he gave up only 3 runs.

Gonzo is still the best hitter on the team.

Easley comes through with a two out hit, scoring two runs.

Easley comes through with a key hit. Shawn Green should be sitting. I would of put Easley in right because I would rather have Tracy in the line-up instead of Green.

Did Thom just say that Davis threw nearly 40 pitches that first inning? Ouch!

Gonzo hits a solo HR for the second time in as many games. 3-0.

Tony Clark hits a bomb to make it 7-0 in the 9th! Great pitching by Vargas and the bullpen so far. Easley and Counsell with some big hits against former D'Back Capuano.
