I doubt they play today due to the tropical storm.

Rosters expanded today and we brought up 5 players- activated Green and Aquino form the DL and called up Choate, Montero, and Slaeden.

I would have liked to see some more of Callaspo so that's too bad. Owings is intruiging but they obviously feel he's not ready so I'll let it be.

It's Friday so here is a good laugh for everyone-

We tried to trade for Wells and they wanted either Montero or Carlos Gonzalez! HAHAHA. They wanted Kemp from the Dodgers. This is what Gambo is reporting

Julio gives up a two run homer to Soriano to tie the game in the ninth.

The bullpen gives up 5 runs in the final two innings and blows a good game by Batista and Young (5 RBIs).

What a mess this turned out to be! Was a great game. But the season is over anyhow. Just a bummer that they blew it in such grand fashion.

Yikes, AZ quit on the season when the wildcard wasn't that impossible. Nice job Melvin and crew! Good thing college football is back to try and remove the stench of this campaign.

I guess this place will be a little dead from here on out until spring. Too bad. I hope for better next season.

I guess it's not only players who slack off when they get a new contract.

That arguement doesn't hold water, its still very easy to fire a manager even if he has a contract. I don't see how you can say Melvin has quit on this team because he got his extension. Everybody knew right from the beginning of the season that our rotation was held together by dental floss, and it has shown now more than ever.

Webb is having a fantastic performance today, only one run so far in six innings.

Brilliant slide at the plate by Quentin, and another great inning by Webb. 3-1 Dbacks in the 8th.

God, what a brutal series. This HAS to be the worst series they've played since they were swept by a gawdawful Expos team at home a few years ago.

That was disgusting.

Webb throws a great game and the defence totally blows it for him late in the game.

The 8th started out with a hard bunt right at Cojack that should have been an easy play but rather than field the bunt Jackson covers first?!?!?

Webb walks the next batter but then strikes out Soriano.

The next batter hits a routine double play ball about 2 feet to the left of Drew and he coughs up a hairball.

THE INNING SHOULD NOW BE OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the worst part is that Webb gets strapped with FOUR runs that are only earned because the rookie plays were so bad that they can't even be classified as errors!!!!!!!!!!

Pathetic, the Dbacks should have won all three games but manage to blow every single one of them. No way should Webb have been stuck with 5 earned runs today, he pitched a fantastic game.
