man it would cool to see a GOOD Superman movie again. Always loved the original and the sequel's one of my favorite movies of all time. Everything after that (save Drunk Superman/Clark v. Drunk Superman) was complete and utter dog crap.

I feel so bad for filmmakers today. They have no chance at concealing their movies from the public anymore. While it is great to see what is going on with these movies I am interested in, it is also annoying that I will always know the surprise before hand. Just one of the downsides of technology.

I agree...however, in this case WB posted this (and 3 other production photos) on the official movie Facebook page.

:biglaugh:

You're just noticing this now? What's NOT ridiculous about Superman's suit -- going back to 1937?

I think these superhero stills always look bad until they get on the final print.

I think it's Zod and Faora (his wife). Neither Ursa, nor Nom, have a credit on IMDB.

So then we have another producer remaking a perfectly good comic into their own image. No wonder these things end up sucking. Zod, Nom, and Ursa are a team. Not having the other 2 doesn't make sense.

Hmmm...Faora=Ursa

Superman Wiki said:
Ursa, also known as Faora and by other names, is a Kryptonian supervillain, and companion (and lover, in some versions) to General Zod.

The is a teaser for Man of Steel with Dark Knight Rises. It was a little underwhelming. Once I can find it somewhere, I'll post it.

I liked it. I particularly liked the visual of him flying--they finally got the effect down to where it looks almost violent to be moving through the air at that speed rather than merely floating rapidly.

Most of teaser was flat for me. But that was probably because it was Costner doing his best Uncle Ben impression from Raimi's Spiderman "With great power comes great responsibility" speech.

I totally marked out when Supes went super-sonic...then something tripped the cynicism dip-switch in my brain, and I thought to myself "Iron Man much?"

There wasn't much substance but I have to disagree. Sort of has me pumped to see this film.

yeah... i thought the teaser was pretty terrible.

if you're gonna do "dour" superhero, you better knock it out of the park ala TDK. Otherwise, these comic book films just become boring.

That's what I loved about Spidey 1, 2, Iron Man and the Avengers. those movies were joy-rides. Supes should be also.

Loved it. Got me pumped to see it, too. It's exactly what it was supposed to be (to me)--a "teaser". Don't give me the whole damn movie in a trailer. Just give me enough to make me say, "Yeah, I'm going to be in the theater for that one!"
