Kevin Costner > Russell Crowe

The voice-over works with Costner, but not at all with Crowe, IMHO.

That's interesting. I saw the Costner trailer in the theater and the Crowe trailer on the interwebs and thought the Crowe one was better.

JMHO
I like the Costner one better, but that may be because I like what is being said better.

Awesome trailer!

It made feel like I was 10 years old again when I saw the preview for the original Superman. I'm totally stoked to see this!

I really hope they don't foul it up...

I know what you mean. I feel that the darker tone of today's previews stem from what resonates better with the audience in general. A grand epic feel gets people more pumped for a new film than something that's more lighthearted. You kind of saw that shift with the Dark Knight Rises trailers, where there was a move (albeit minor) towards an injection of humor in the TV ads.

You mean like last April? I thought The Avengers looked fun. And it was.

yup... that one did look fun and was but you can't deny more and more big tent-poles are trying to emulate TDK's tone and it's success. Marvel's actually done a good job of making most of their comic book properties look fun, up until the new Spidey/Iron Man 3.

I'm so much more excited to see this than any of the Batman movies.

i will give the trailer this much credit... even if I'm not crazy about the rather dour tone, it looks like it could be EPIC. Alien spaceships, huge explosions/set pieces... something we haven't seen out of Superman since Superman 2.

glad they didn't reboot with Luthor and went with something where we could really see Supes in all his might battling what looks like a worthy physical foe.

In a van...down by the river.
Saw....

Russell Crowe
Kevin Costner
Diane Lane
Larry Fishburne

...in the credits.

Interesting.
Looks fresh. Trailer got me pumped and i'm not into the whole superhero blockbuster epic hollywood fetish thing.
