I actually disagree precisely because DA had so much time to throw there he had to survey the field. The LB didn't really come from that far away he was kind of laying in wait.
The QB can't lead his receivers into hits like that, DA has been doing it all year.
I don't know what to say, Hall has been awful we can't keep playing him, but DA is a tease, he'll play just well enough to get you beat and break your heart.
It's hard to say, i'll have to look at the play again, i only saw it once, but i felt like the LB was in full speed from outside of the QB's vision for the slant. Great defenses hide the LB's in this fashion, making the cross from outside of QB's vision. Many great QB's have been lead to INT's and big hits like this, and you are not necessary a horrible QB based on this alone. I've seen Montana and Unitas making the same "mistake".. It's more a great defense IMHO... It's one of the most dangerous things for a QB when you have defenders coming across the field in full speed that you can't see and they time the play accuretly as Ruud did there.. LSH did had a chance to secure the ball as well but it was great defensive play.
And also just because he didn't had time it doesn't mean it was the wrong choice. How if that there was no other option and LSH was the only reasonable throw? Better then a sack later in such important situation.. Even risking an injury to reciever is ok then... It's hard to blame it on DA right away without further interpretation ..But if DA could see the LB, than i agree, it's a horrible decision
He is not a good QB tough, what he did in the end is absolutely inexcusable
Hall has still shown more than DA and if it's me, i start him again next week.
