DBacks (15-13) VS Padres (11-17) - Miley (2-0) VS Marquis (2-2). First time we've seen the Padres this season.

Wade Miley is coming off a poor outing against Colorado, lasting just 4.1 innings, and took 98 pitches to get there. He surrendered an outrageous 7 walks, only 4 base hits, and somehow managed to give up no runs. On the season, Miley has been good however, 1.29 WHIP, and 2.37 ERA.

The Padres send former Diamondback (11 innings of his major league career) Jason Marquis to the mound. Marquis is having a season on par for what he's done his whole career. Through April, he has an ERA of 4.20 and a WHIP of 1.33. Last outing against the Giants Marquis went 6.2 innings, giving up only 2 runs.

You just don't lose to the Padres with Miley on the bump.

Utterly ridiculous.

Oh, my goodness. There are 2 1/2 Major League bats in our starting lineup tonight. Poor Pat Corbin. He is going to have a stroke when he looks up at the scoreboard.

Classic, Montero hits his first home run in forever and now he sits.

I should read my own previous posts, huh. :)

Single, walk, single, single, sacrifice+error, double -- all before the first out in the top of the 2nd,

A lot more effective than Upton and Young popping up the ball trying for the seats.

And six runs going into the 3rd. Corbin keeps lighting batters up he'll be fine

And that, my friends, is how we should play the Padres each and every time.

Prado is driving me crazy with not getting guys in when in scoring position. He needs to start getting it done soon or he will start feeling the pressure.

I think it's pretty clear that he is already feeling the pressure... He's killing us. But, thru 8 innings we only have 4 hits, so the entire team is simply not getting it done... We are last in the NL hitting with runners in scoring position. Takes more than Prado to achieve that feat...
