Hey, at least the Dbacks are scrappy. That's what all those empty seats pay to see...

Still it is a young season and 5-3 is respectable. It is bad, however, when 2 of the 3 are against the Bucs at home.

Not a chance... The Dbacks need to figure out how to deal with Cahill and McCarthy. Otherwise, Kennedy, Miley and Corbin are extremely solid and far batter than anything the Pirates can put together.
Also, the Pirates have 2-3 hitters that can compare to the Dbacks lineup... Offensively, they are putrid.

I have no doubt that Towers and Gibby will take care of the Cahill and/or McCarthy situation in due time. Gotta believe Skaggs will be up soon... and Bradley and Holmberg wouldn't be too far behind as well!

I would guess the high-water mark for the Pirate would be a win total in the high 70's. Whereas, I can see the Dbacks winning 88-90 games.

There will be a giant party in Pittsburgh if the Pirates win 82 games and I think they can do it.

I'm just not sold on the Diamondbacks yet. It could be 90 or it could be 70.

Bradley is playing in single A right now. There is little to no chance we see him in the majors this season.
