To me, the guy looks ready to play, and seems to have the instincts to dominate. I think he's the perfect match for us, even possibly over Patrick Peterson.

here paople said he is not good against run,i think he is very complete player.the more ready player to play outside linabacker position.i like also nate irving,6.1 242'' he could be a option for SILB
I think it would be awfully hard to pass on Peterson if he's sitting there at 5. I like Miller alot, but Peterson is just too good.
i just read an article on Miller and think they made a very good comparison to what type of playe he could be and who he reminds them of: Derrick Thomas.

Derrick Thomas? A team could do far, far worse at #5 than the next coming of Derrick Thomas
Sorry cbus, I actually hit "edit" instead of "quote" But, here is what I wrote:
I think the team that drafts Miller will get about 10 or more sacks a season. That is something we haven't had since Berry's first couple of years here. We BADLY need pass rush. And, I think corners are too handcuffed by the rules now to take in the top 10.
If he is close to being as good as Derrick Thomas we'll love the guy. On top of all that, he's just a really solid dude too.
:thumbsup"I got a lot of film on Derrick Thomas, I like the way he plays the game," Miller said. "Joe Kines told me a long time ago that I had similar attributes to my game that he had. Right then and there, I looked him up and just watched him. I try to emulate some of the stuff he does. You can’t do some of the stuff he does, but I try my hardest to be like Derrick Thomas.
"Just his mentality about the game. I don’t think it’s his physical ability that I try to emulate. It’s the way he played the game with a relentless fanatical effort with every play That’s what allowed him to make the plays that he made."
Lets see what he weighs in at next month at the Combine. If he comes in at 247 which is about 10 lbs heavier than his current weight then I think his stock goes up. I think he can play the WOLB, he may be a one trick pony but we really need that one trick on our defense. I would be torn though if Peterson is ther at #5 because the OLB pool is deeper this year than the CB pool and you could probably get a guy like Jeremy Beal in Round 2 or Sam Acho in Round 3. Miller at WOLB and Kamerion Wimbley at SOLB is a dream worth dreaming.

“I am prepared to switch to a stand up linebacker position,” said Acho, who played defensive end at Texas. “There are a lot of 4-3 and 3-4 teams in the league so depending on which team picks me I may have to make that transition and I played that position my first two years at Texas, so I’m comfortable with it.”
acho is a second rounder beal he is a fourth rounder
I'm on board with Acho in the 2nd for OLB now instead of Beal. Although it is hard to tell since what I saw of Beal was all as a 4-3 DE in the Sr.Bowl.
Acho has an almost identical skill set to Brian Orakpo and we all know what Orakpo has done in his two seasons in Washington.
Beale had his moments, but those (called and uncalled) encroachment penalties are killers. Some guys grow out of it/some don't.
I wouldn't mind Acho, though I like Brooks Reed more at this point. Beal was disappointing, but I figured that he would start to drop as soon as I saw that he wasn't going to be repping at OLB. He is a 5th round 4-3 DE and a late 2nd round 3-4 OLBer from what I have seen. Because he doesn't flash great athleticism I expect him to drop into the 3rd round after the combine.
I feel a bit hamstrung by our offensive line. I like the defensive talent enough to take all defensive players with our top 3 picks, but our line is so weak that I can't see passing on an offensive linemen for 3 rounds either. I would be surprised to see us pass on Carimi, Sherrod, Castonzo, Watkins or Moffitt in teh 2nd or 3rd rounds if they are available.
I'd really like to get Brooks Reed in here. Don't know if he'll last to our 3rd round pick.
