I have Fitz graded as the highest NFL talent at prospective positions. That said If It's Chris Johnson or Tom Brady at premium positions, oh Hell yea,

Now i'm old school and WR was not a premium position but it is more so now. That Said Fitz aint qworth a poot with Hall and DA at QB.

I'de trade him for Matt Leinart at this point, at least we would have a snowballs chance in Phoenix for the next 10 years.

I have Fitz graded at 98 out of 100 as a wide receiver.

I have Matt Leinart graded as a 90 out of 100 with upside. matt's 19-24 preseason with this freaked out football team proves to me, even more correct.

Matt will be the most sought after player in the NFL after the strike/CBA. with the most leverage of any player in history of the NFL. He's a 5 star QB without a contract after this year. And He Owns LA, you know the 2nd largest market.

Let me tell you my truth, Matt would compete for the starting job on any NFL team without Ken Whisenhunt. Beanie would have been starting or competing for the start on any NFL team without Ken Whisenhunt.

Deuce, Lyle, Breaston and patrick would have been valued more on any NFL team. just for starters.

If you think DA won this QB starting job from ML, well good luck too you. I've stayed firm in my grades.

Yes WRs are not a huge impact IMO

Unless they are true, HOF quality game-breakers who can stretch the field and cause a defense to change their scheme... Guys like Moss (in his prime). Look at what Desean Jackson is doing in Philly. Andre Johnson on Houston. Dez Bryant in Dallas.
But, still none of those players equate to much TEAM success... Point is, the WR position is not where you want to empty the bank! QB and Edge Rushers who can consistently wreak havoc in the backfield... those are the positions you want to target for bigtime payouts!

He doesn't need to. Just wait, next year Belichek gets rid of second rate Tom Brady for Leinart. Just look at Leinart's leverage.

I said yes, given the right offer. But it does depend on what the two picks are, which draft(s) they are in, when the trade happens, and how viable re-signing Fitzgerald looks at that point. And of course, whether or not Breaston is extended or would be because of this trade.

If Larry wanted to stay, be (even more of) a Cardinal legend and weather rebuilding, it would definitely affect my opinion, though. I just don't want to lose him to free agency or be able to keep him only by franchising him when he wants to leave.

Yes, by the time we get a QB who can get him the ball, he will be elsewhere through FA. Strike while the iron is hot.

nope

But Matt Leinart would push Mr Brady more than any other free agent out there, except maybe Max Hall or Derek Anderson, in Whiz's eyes.

The Contrcats are coming in at what, Peyton 25 Mill a year, Brady and Brees want close or the same, Mcnabb got 4 more years 78 million or something.

CBA's usually usher in new teams. I expect Matty to be the franchise player for the new LA Leinarts and start for less and get re-signed for more than all of them.

I'm nuts but not as nuts as Whisenhunt.

Fitz is a franchise player hands down, Don't trade him.

I wouldn't trade him if there is any chance he'll re-sign. Getting rid of all of the players you drafted with first round picks isn't exactly a proven path to success.

Plus, we always think players will be fairly easy to replace, and we're constantly proven wrong. Calvin Pace was overpaid by the Jets, but in an effort find someone to take his place, we've already spent a ton of money on Laboy, wasted a second round pick on Cody Brown and sunk even more money into an ineffective Joey Porter. Imagine how many terrible moves we'd make to fill the void left by Fitz.

I would rather have a team full of Boldins than anything else. This team is losing its heart and thats one thing that Boldin has. It's like having a team full of Larry Centers. I know the team would at least play for 60 minutes.

He was very moody anyway. Imagine how unamanagable he would be with a QB that cant get him the ball. It does not matter how much you yell at Monte "Lets Make a Deal" Hall or Dee Anderson. It will not make them into QBs. You cant make someone into something that they are not.

I only own 2 jersey's: Tillman and Fitz. So my appreciation for Larry should never be questioned. However, if we could trade Fitz and snag a QBOF and a true edge pass rushing threat of Freeney type skills and production, I'd do it...

You want a franchise QB AND a pass rusher for a WR? :biglaugh:

Dreaming is free I suppose. :D

I join as well.

I wish I would have thought about it a little bit before voting :mulli:. Yes Shane that means no and I fart in your general direction. :)

Right Offer?

OK. I change to yes as long as we get either Peyton Manning and a couple of pro bowl offensive linemen or the entire Pittsburgh Defense.

I voted no. Here's my rationale, you said 2 first rounders but didn't specify what year. I'm assuming you mean 2011, if you do, New England is the only team that currently has 2 picks, theirs, and the Raiders. Right now those are not high first round picks so you might not be able to get a good QB with either pick nor trade both picks to get a higher pick.

I'd trade him for the right price but the price would have to be a high pick or something where I get a starting QB , OT or pass rusher in return AND a #1 pick.

I don't see anything wrong with getting the 2 picks from NE for Fitz. We would still have our high pick and then two more in the first round. How is that bad? You can fill the QB with our pick and then find a OLB and OT with the other two first round picks. I would see that as a nice position to be in.

Id trade for Vick and a #1!

Or 2 #1's if our pick is in the top 5. But the owners would have a heart attack with 3 first rounders including a top 5!!
