If we could work a sweetheart deal with New England or someplace else that he'd agree to, I wouldn't be opposed to trading him.

When have we ever seen NE make a trade like that? They usually compile draft picks they don't trade them. Moss was shipped for a freakin 3rd rounder and a pack of toothpicks. We're not going to get a sweetheart deal for a guy coming off a medioce season. Plus cmon folks, we're talking about the Arizona Cardinals here - if we trade Larry, prepare to get fleeced.

Keep Fitzy and work to obtain someone who can actually get the ball in his general vacinity.

I can see Fitz being more than happy to have Brady tossing him balls in NE. I can see NE seeing Fitz as their solution at WR. They always seem to trade down every year during the draft anyway. You never see them making a high or semi-high pick.

I would even take a starting tackle and the higher of the two first round picks for Fitz. The have some pretty good linemen up there. Say Light or Kaczur however I would need some other player if it was Light since he is getting a bit long of tooth.

C'mon now, let's not give Graves and Co any more ammunition to gut this team even further. I voted :mulli: because there was no middle finger emoticon to vote for. :)

Fitz to PHI for Kolb/Avant or Kolb/Maclin.

PHI has Vick to Fitz and Jackson with McCoy/Harrison at RB - an offensive powerhouse.

The Cards have Kolb to Breaston and either Avant or Maclin with another shot for Beanie and Timmy and a high draft pick. That makes for a quick turnaround.

For the number 1 pick in the NFL draft that Andrew Luck coming out, hell yes. That is all I would want.

If one of the 1st rounders would get us Luck, and the other 1st rounder was a top ten.

This is actually not a bad trade. We fill the QB slot and slide in a replacement for Fitz. Now granted neither are Fitz however they aren't slop either.

Breaston, Avant/Maclin, Doucet (if he can stay healthy and that's a big if) Roberts isn't such a bad set of WRs.

No way Philly giving Maclin and Kolb for Fitz. Pipe dream. The Cards lose nothing and Philly loses a good back up. Maclin for Fitz is a near wash. Maclin is younger and faster.

The Card just might be a top 5 drafter. That will require big $$$$$ to sign. How will these tightwads ever sign another 1st rounder ( like from Lions )? I would like to say yes, why not?

I just don't think anyone gives 2 1st rounders.

FWIW i presented this very same extremely hypothetical poll on the Rams board i reside at and quite frankly i was stupified by the results.
An overwhelming 88% of Rams fans wouldn't trade two future #1's for Fitz. Too costly for a rebuilding team seemed to be the primary argument. Personally i dont buy that. A Bradford to Fitz combo would (IMO)quickly erase any thoughts of losing out on #1 picks. (ahhh to dream)
Successfull #1 picks are no guarantee, and drafts are won & lost in the middle rds anyway IMO.

BTW, if i was AZ's GM i wouldn't trade Fitz away for all the tea in China.

I agree, Fitz is one of those guys you don't trade away unless you absolutely have to because he doesn't want to sign an extension. He is the face of the franchise and one of the faces of the NFL.

You're right. Zero chance. I just found it interesting that the pulse in Rams Nation would rather hold onto picks like gold, when its very likely that we wont be picking in the top 10 anyway over the course of the next few years, and give up a chance to aquire a Fitzgerald(and take him away from a divisional rival!)

Mystified,mesmorized,and stupified.

If I were a Rams fan (I about puked typing that), I would give my left one to get Fitz catching TDs from the rookie.

I would if the offer was right. Fitz just isn't a game changing WR.

He is great. But not a game changer. Outside of the 2008 playoffs I cant think of many games the guy has just taken over and willed this team to wins. Can you?
