I just can't see DD and the cards not reaching a deal. Dockett needs the Cards just like they need him. Think it's more he needs the Cards than the other way by a bit though. Especially with his age and the injury he just incurred last year

Showed last year we do just fine w/o him. We all like Darnell, but the bottom line is does X player help you win games? Darnell- not really. Not anymore. Hes still a good player and will flash every once in awhile, get a sack or a pressure. But otherwise hes 34, coming off a major knee injury, and his down to like 270 pounds.
His spot is one we can definitely upgrade

Dockett should know by now that there is little value in loyalty in the NFL. He claims to have been loyal, which he has, but he's also been very well compensated. Production is what gets you paid.

If he is that confident in coming back big then he should accept a incentive loaded contract and prove it on the field. I'm sure the team will not mind paying him if he is still all he said he is.
