And not just at his age since this is the first triple double in 11 years. Why? Because Europe doesn't score assists like they do here. No steps. No transitition. No pump fakes.

Just did the ball go in the hoop immediately after the pass. Basically consider 1.5x the amount than here.

Now put in perspective he did something not done in 11 years in 22 minutes of play at 18.

Highest Floor in the draft.

At worst he is Dragic

Doncic might be a nice NBA player but he is not going to be a great one. Ayton and Bagley have a much higher ceiling and the Suns need to go big. The Suns can't gamble with this pick, especially if it's the first overall.

I see some mock drafts have the Suns taking Jalen Brunson or Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
with the 16th pick, which I would not mind one bit.

So basically you think the NCAA is better than the Euro League. That is wrong wrong wrong.

Yeah let’s draft Doncic with a top 5 pick because the other Euro players that McD has selected in the top 5 like Bender & Len have all worked out so well...

Successful euros are all over the NBA now. Adapt or live in the 80s

Listen. It does not help the conversation by mischaracterizing what others have said and then ripping them for it. Its called a straw man argument, and it doesn't fly.

No one here has trashed him. What does trash mean anyway? Is saying he is not worthy of the number one pick when Ayton is available trashing?

I am one of the bunch here who has been somewhat critical of Doncic. But the concerns expressed here have been about his game, not his skin color. I have been concerned about his shooting percentages. That is a legit concern. His shot selection is a problem. Others have been concerned about his speed and lateral movement. That is a legit question to ask. Even then, most of us who have concerns still have us taking him in the top 4, just not necessarily with the first pick.

As far as leaving it up to the coaches, um, yes, the coaches, scouts, and mgmt make the picks. Not us. But the point of a message board is to talk about players and the draft, which is entertaining. If you are going to leave up to the coaches, why bother to post at all?

Except literally someone brought up his skin color here so false.

We get the assist thing in Europe. Do they count theee point shooting percentages different too?

Nope but just like the slappys who were pointing to Lonzo Balls college shooting numbers and I was explaining how skill/form actually matters (hopefully you weren't one)

Doncic has great form and will shoot better in the NBA because the skill set is there. Same with his FT%

Even if his floor is Dragic (which I disagree with, but will go with for sake of argument), you're talking a 16/4/4 guy and Ayton's a career 17/10/1.5 floor, IMO.

And if we're talking floor, both of them will be problematic on D. So, give me the one area this team is desperately lacking downlow versus another swingman, of which we already have two great ones at those spots.

I prefer Ayton at the 1. I have already said I prefer top ceiling over top floor

Not taking Doncic at the 2 is nonsense

the "slappys"? Pretty sure that's not a compliment and seemingly unnecessary in a discussion that's been pretty civil toward each other so far.

Ok. I will count that one. But has that guy posted on the Suns board more than once or twice?

Its all over the board and it isn't hard to find. You challenged me to play find the racism once and I accepted it. You can find it yourself or move on

Slappy is 100% a correct term for anyone who pointed at Lonzo Balls college shooting numbers and said "Good shooter"

There is a group of fans on this board that will be pissed off about Doncic if we draft him at 2 or 3 because he is solely white and european. Its nonsense

okay... so are the rules of the board now we can hurl insults at people who have been proven wrong about previous takes... or do the moderators of the board just get to do that now?

Only asking because I've been seeing A LOT of that behavior from the people who are supposed to be keeping the peace around here lately.

And it looks like I'm not alone according to @JCSunsfan 's post above.

See above.

Above didn't answer my question.

I'm just asking what the rules are now, because you're a moderator. So, I'll ask again... are we allowed to insult people based on previous takes that have been proven wrong now?

Easy answer.

You are more than welcome to debate a thing like "Stats are all that matter" but not a specific poster.

So if I say "Dummys only look at stats" it is a far different thing that "Chris Sanders is a dummy"
