Two positions I feel confident we will stay away from on draft day, unless our roster changes, are WR and TE. Unless the Cardinals find a WR who is a returner, there isn't much in this draft that is going to beat out Jaron Brown. In terms of TE, the Cards have been vocal in how much they like Momah and Christian.

Billings is 6 foot and 310.... not big... not for a NT,...not by any stretch.

His playing power is unmatched. Hes more powerful than Dan Williams was, which is an enormous compliment.

I've read that Billings is more 3 technique than a 1 technique.

I don't see the Cardinals drafting a 1 or 3 that high. I think they would consider a 5 technique type like Butler before Billings.

Im not interested in drafting a NT or much else in that draft. But that is my opinion. The Cards not interested in WRs or TEs is more of a prediction that I am confident in.

I have run through the scenario that the Cardinals COULD draft a WR. If a prospect was available in round 1 that the team thought could be a future starter, I could see the team drafting him this year to stash for the season to let Floyd/Fitz walk.

Cardinals are actually in "all in" mode
They are working to make great things in 2016..not planning long future

I agree---Keim will draft BPA and if the BPA is WR, he's the pick. BA has said, and SK agrees, you never know when a unit one thinks is a strength suddenly becomes a need.

Now---if a WR and C or CB have grades that are comparable, then SK would consider greatest need.

BTW---Andrew Billings's tape leaves a lot to be desired. He stands up almost every play on the snap, thus diminishing his brute strength and for guy who is so strong, he doesn't disengage with any consistence and he is not very productive. Whatever team that takes him is going to have to turn him into a football player---same with his teammate DE Shawn Oakman, another physical specimen who is not a consistent playmaker.

If the Cardinals are serious about re-signing Floyd, they won't take a WR in round 1. Floyd, John Brown, JJ Nelson, Jaron Brown, and this is considered a draft without great talent at the top or great depth. It is the same with TE. It isn't that TE couldn't be improved, but what we would need doesn't match up well with this class and where we are picking.
