I wonder if Sarver is angry with Dragic or with McD/Babby/Hornacek. I was under the impression that Dragic and Sarver were buddies, and I wonder if Sarver knew how disgusted Goran was with the current situation.

Stupid. He is listening to Gambo.

Talk about horrible chemistry problems going forward.

The Suns need a pg. a real one. Not a shoot first ball hog who does not know how to set up other players. They have three of those.

start Ennis and let the three babies cry.

If there just isn't a good offer out there for Dragic than I think the team needs to go ahead and find a decent offer for IT. Going forward for the rest of the season with the exact same roster just seems like a bad idea and IT being on a solid contract that isn't expiring should make it relatively easy to get a decent return for him.

Goran clearly doesn't want to be here. Miami willing to give up 2 future 1st round picks. Bet the Suns can also get a big man out of the heat too, but the question would be who?

Unless the lottery protection on those picks was unreasonable I don't believe that. Otherwise the deal would be done already. They would be a great fit for him too playing alongside Bosh

Miami has no assets and why would we want someone like Deng? We already got too many small forwards and Tucker does most of the things Deng does well.

Dragic
2012-2013 Leads the suns to the 4th pick in the draft, Dragic says he needs another playmakers alongside him, McStunna gets Bledsoe

2013-2014 with Bledsoe healthy Suns play .667, with Dragic starting at PG Suns go .500 and drop out of the playoff race, Dragic claims he wants to stay here forever blabla

Suns sign Thomas so they can compensate if either Bledsoe or Dragic are out. Dragic says he hopes the Suns re-sign Bledsoe even after signing Thomas. Dragic says he plans to opt out only to re-sign in phoenix.

Suns again play .500 ball, at times right in the middle of the playoff chase but apparently Dragic behind the scenes schemed multiple times to force McDonough's hand to break up the team.

Suns are still 8th and Dragic comes out with all these comments, throwing the team and management under the bus and causing damage to the entire organization. Claiming that he has been lied to because apparently the Suns brought in other PGs something he ASKED them to despite the team improving leaps and bounds.

On top of that he has the audacity to present a list of teams that have NO ASSETS at all to trade for him and are all terrible except Miami who are still bad and has his agent scare off any other viable options that want him and actually have assets to get him (Sac, Houston, Boston...)

Don't you know that facts always screw up a great argument and thread? LOL

Both the Heat and Knicks trade offers are terrible. Miami's first rd picks are gonna be so far in the future, will McD, Babby, and Hornacek all even still be around then? Hell is Sarver gonna still be around then?

Plus it will be terrible picks. Even after Wade & Bosh retire, Pat Riley is gonna find ways to keep that team afloat. Assuming he's still their GM then.

KNICKS offer is laughable. I'd rather watch Goodwin than Tim Hardaway Jr play.

Miami's picks being in the far future is a good thing since they won't be terrible for the next 4 years.
Beyond that who knows..

Four years from now is a really long time considering that any player you draft probably won't have an immediate impact for a couple years after that anyway. That's a long time in the NBA. Much can happen to either team.

Phil Jackson wants Dragic so bad lol. He saw first hand what Dragic did to him and his Lakers in the 2010 WCF series.

At this point I would take Jones and the Pelicans pick plus the Knicks 2nd rounder.

Maybe I would even take just the 2 picks and Terry.

That Pelicans pick is most likely going to be #13 and the Knicks pick #31-32.

Pat Riley & Phil Jackson both trying to fleece Ryan McD.

Quite the situation for a 2nd year GM to be in with two HOF Sharks breathing down your neck.

Word from Phx is that owner has dug in & told folks he won't trade Dragic. That, of course, wouldn't be the 1st time an owner dug in.

If Sarver is taking the trade Dragic option away for McD, what can he do to TRY to salvage team chemistry? IT has to go, even if we get lesser value.

Meanwhile you have a stubborn Sarver entering the mix creating a disjointed front making it even harder to discuss/consummate deals.

Though this is an opportunity for McD to show he has the chops. So far he's been adding talent and picks. They might have clashed, but he was able to add all this stuff. Now he has to find a way to massage it into a balanced team that can make the playoffs in the West as a first step to winning a championship. It (balance) may take time, but looking around, it doesn't seem like we were going anywhere this year. McD it seems has his eyes on the future, it's just guys on the team in the present don't like it.

It's definitely going to be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Give me a break. I'll obviously never be an NBA GM and I'm sure I'd make a million mistakes on the job, but being intimidated by a rival exec's resume would never be one of them. No one is ever going to intimidate me in a mind game.

if this is true, Sarver is once again proving to me he's an idiot.

Is it really this hard for McD to find a taker for IT? I never liked his ballhogging style but he's been pretty good this season.

@SeanDeveney
Suns holding firm to preference for Isaiah Thomas trade, Im told. Dragic supposed to be heir to Steve Nash, Sarver wants to keep it that way

If this is true, Bledsoe might be traded this summer to make all well with Dragic or so he hopes.

Suns leaking that Sarver won't budge on Dragic trade is smart negotiating strategy to regain some of the leverage Dragic took from them.

Let's see what you do McD

They have to do something. If the offers for Dragic suck, fine, then ship off Thomas, even if its for basically no return, try to get back some of last year's mojo.

But doing nothing IMO ensures we're losing Dragic for nothing and that the rest of the season is going to be a headache filled with rumors of infighting and a civil war amongst the fan base.

One thing to keep in mind is that it isn't just IT who is hindering Dragic's touches or whatever....both Marcus Morris and Gerald Green have been bigger ball hogs than they were last season as well.

Whenever a pass gets to either of them, they shoot the ball or turn it over, they'll never pass it.

If Sarver is adamant about trading IT and keeping Goran, then one or both of Marcus and Green will have to be traded as well imo. Preferably Marcus since we have Warren at his position. If Kieff starts bi***ching, oh well give him a Kleenex.
