The alternative was Byrnes [barring injury, which was the point, I think] in left, and a 2-2 score. A one-hop throw with pace from mid-left field is pretty good. 4 feet or so off-line, but I think that that actually helped on the play. If it is right on line, Snyder is in the path and gets creamed - perhaps alligator-arms the ball.
