I don't want to run down Mikail. He is a great 4th guy on a team right now and could become a 2 guy but probably lands as a good third star. I fully expect he makes an all star team now that he is in New York.

We needed to get a 2 guy now before CP3 retires. It's literally that simple. The goal is to win a championship in the next 2 years.
reality is to win a title, we needed a 1 guy. That's Durant. Booker now becomes not just a great 2, but an ALL-TIME second banana. That's not shade at Book. It speaks to how awesome a healthy KD is.

Lol his career high and Durant has done that forever! Bridges may be a budding star but KD I see a HOF period had to make that trade period!
KD has 65 forty+ point games. And he has 358 games with 30+ out of 978 games. So once every 2.7 games he goes for 30 or more. For his entire career. I believe bridges has 3 or 4 in 370 career games. So he gets one every 92 to 123 games.

(I know this is ridiculous)

Whatever Bridges does in Brooklyn now is irrelevant. But does anyone really believe he was ever going to start popping 30 to 40 point games for us on any regular basis (let alone this season) and carry us on his shoulders? Let's be real.

Durant is a top-10 player of all time

Mikal wont even be a top-30 Sun of all time.

Stop it, people. You’re overthinking
Top-20 all time. I think if he gets another ring, then yes I can see an argument. But I can understand if you put him top 10 based on skillset. But his only championships were on a super team with another top-10 player and another top 5 all-time shooter and great defender in Draymond.

30 point games on a semi regular basis, sure, recently he became our number 2 option for the first time in his career.

Obviously Devin is the number 1 option so it wouldn't have happened as often as it will with the Nets.

What so many don't seem to understand is Mikal has always been capable of scoring more, it's just he is the most unselfish team player there is. He didn't feel the need to do it, so of course it didn't happen that often.

Book is a 1B. He was first team All-NBA last year and had two 40 balls in the Finals. We didn’t lose because he wasn’t great. Now you can say he isn’t the best 1 of all-time but that was also his first playoff appearance because he was on trash teams lol.

But yes, Durant is a better player. They play very similarly but KD is a 7 footer. He doesn’t count lol. Bro is a unicorn. Book (imo) is a more efficient, less athletic/talented Kobe. I know he doesn’t like the comparison but he’s the closest to Kobe and Bean is my all-time favorite player.

Durant is going to change that Lockeroom. Watching that interview he is all business.
I am not sure there really was much to change about this locker room. CP3, Book, and the rest have been pretty focused. Maybe he can have an impact on DA.

I don't think CP3 should have been a factor in any decision. The days of him being a consistent impact player are gone.

I would be shocked if you’re wrong on 1-4 of suns verses anyone else. Teams might have one or two of each those in the opposite direction, but those are few, and even those are likely arguable (like Durant/Tatum and Booker/brown)
Agreed. I thought about putting parenthesis on the first two (couple teams more or less even), but you caught my drift exactly.

I read somewhere that DA looked up to KD as role model for 7 footer players. In the Kings game, after DA was faked into jumping by Sabonis and then got face-up words from Paul going to bench, then KD also greeted DA with some maybe comforting words. I trust KD in the dept of positive influence on DA, which would be huge.
