I was hoping for an upgrade, but I don't mind seeing him re-signed, depending on the numbers. He's better than Stephen Williams or Demarco Sampson. Now we just need to find a legitimate #2 WR.

Failed with Peyton, failed with Bell, failed with CHAZ SCHILLENS...we're Dolphins West :(

Hopefully a full offseason with Kolb better develops their chemistry.

I'm happy with this. He was one of the better wr free agents still available. He knows the system and has improved each year. 2011 numbers were 54 receptions for a 12.8 yard average and 5 tds.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

So... same WR core... Same LT... and the same QBs... and we're expecting the offense to get better... how exactly?

eh... hopefully an off-season will just make Skelton and Kolb grow by leaps and bounds... or at least by leaps because they're gonna be dealing with the exact same pieces of the puzzle as they did last season.

IDK. Chaz Schilens only had 23 catches, 271 yds, 11.8 ave and 2 tds. I'm not sure why some here thought he was going to be some big upgrade over Early.

Good til the last drop.

(actually, despite last year's transgressions, he could improve to a point where we could trust him. But yikes! We'd better go out and draft/sign ourselves a "good hands" dude to make sure we have a go-to WR opposite Fitz).

As long as we bring in another WR (Michael Floyd) we have no problem

however if we go into the season with just Larry, Andre and Early again.......

Doucet is viewed as a #3 slot WR. So, Bodes, don't worry.

In fact, I think it now will be a surprise if the #13 or the #81 pick isn't for a WR. You just know this is going to happen.

Is David Boston still available? That guy was a beast! And he ate only blueberries and egg whites(no yoke)

Why I'm very happy with the re-signing of Early:

Knows the system and is a player who we drafted and kept from leaving. As Duckjake points out all the time keeping your own and developing a roster that has been together for more than 3 years means the team plays better.

Got rid of the made of glass label this past year.

At one point in the season had the best 3rd down catch conversion to 1st downs in the league.

He is not a prima dona but does need to keep his cool when cheap shotted on the field.

I expect him to have a better year than Moss or Crabtree.

I really like Early. I was disgusted by all the hate he got last year because of his fall. All of a sudden he went from one of the most productive guys on our team to the scurge of the earth.

Guys a beast. Hes a mix between Welker with his slot abilities and Boldin with his toughness.

My worry isnt him as a #3, its Andre as a #2 again.

My best outlook would be we take Bell in FA for LT and take Floyd in the first round. Big dude at 6'4, runs a 4.4 40, strong hands, YAC are impressive. Hes the perfect compliment to Larry.

Looks like the Cards are satisfied with going into the fall with the same offense they had last season. Well at least it will test my theory that the way to win is to keep the same players for long periods of time.

But it sure is scary thinking we're going to have basically the same guys that produced only 19.5 point per game last season. 1.4 points per game more than they got the year before with DeWreck and MaxSacks.
