IDK. Chaz Schilens only had 23 catches, 271 yds, 11.8 ave and 2 tds. I'm not sure why some here thought he was going to be some big upgrade over Early.

Thank you

Doucet isn't nearly as bad as the people here think he is. We could've done much worse.

eh... i don't think Early's bad... I just don't think he's much of anything. he's a guy... makes very little impact, one way or another IMO.

I like it.

If he hadn't flubbed that last play--and it was a BIG one, granted--people wouldn't have this kind if visceral reaction.

I Dunno 5tds in 53 catches with our QBs isn't what I would call very little impact.. A few of his TD's were some pretty big pivotal ones too. He's no all pro but he's a decent player IMO.

Looks like the Cards are satisfied with going into the fall with the same offense they had last season. Well at least it will test my theory that the way to win is to keep the same players for long periods of time.

But it sure is scary thinking we're going to have basically the same guys that produced only 19.5 point per game last season. 1.4 points per game more than they got the year before with DeWreck and MaxSacks.

You have presented enough stats and info that I believe your theory has been proven to be correct.

With that in mind:

Roberts going into his 3rd year will improve.

Kolb and Skelton actually getting OTA's, mini camp(s) and a real training camp will improve.

Hopefully Beanie and Williams have healthy knees. I do expect a RB to be added in the draft.

Snyder should be an upgrade over Hadnot.

Housler should make strides and Heap could avoid injuries.

Levi, Collodge and Sendlien will have a years experience playing together.

Change at QB coach should help as well.

So a lot of ifs and hopes but some of them will come true.

I hope he was signed to be our #3 or #4 WR and not our #2. We still need a #2 badly and right now it looks like the only way we get him is to draft him in the first round. Way to drop the ball Graves. I hope I am proven wrong, really I do, but I bet we are stuck with the same wideouts as last year. We need three positions taken care of this offseason and so far we have none. A passrusher, #2 wideout and a LT. Now it looks like we will go into the draft with nothing to show for in free agency other than an OK guard in Snyder. That will be pretty darn sorry.

We have our #2

Hus name is Andre Roberts. Many of you don't like it but gonna have to deal with it. Look no further than bringing the guy in to the facility to meet with Peyton Manning. This organization believes he can be that guy clearly. They may be right. It used to be that WRs generally took 2 to 3 years to really come into their own. Considering where he came from(Citadel) it would not shock if he improved immensely going into 3rd year.

Assuming it wasnt big bucks, I like bringing Early back. Yes, his trip was embarrassing, but he is a good 3rd option. I think he'd be above average if we had anyone who could consistently throw the ball.

There's a lot to that. Look at all the guys who have only 1 or 2 seasons with Arizona. DWash, Dan Williams,Sam Acho,Patrick Peterson,Kerry Rhodes,Greg Toler*,Schohawk, Lenon and Bradley.

On offense Kolb and Skelator. Roberts, Housler and King. And the left side of the offensive line as you noted of LBrown,Colledge and Sendlein will be going into their 2nd year together. Plus our older WRs Doucet and Fitz will have another year of working with our QBs.

Now if we only had a Right Tackle.

So was that key drop vs Dallas that forced the Cards to give the Cowboys the football with a chance to win with a FG. I'm with Cheesebeef, Doucet is just an average receiver and I guess its better to have one familiar with your system than one who isn't.

Well, thats kinda my thoughts. I am not claiming he is anything special, but a decent 3rd option who has produced decent numbers despite having a poo poo platter of noodle arms and and guys who cant hit the toilet when they piss.

Your right typically it takes wr's time to develope. But the one thing Cardinal fans have been spoiled with was great Rookie WR's with Boldin then Fitz.

I think Early was much improved this year. He made a lot of third down catches for us. Thats an important down.

The problem with Early was always his injuries. Last year he stayed on the field and I thought he was solid.

If Kolb can relax and start playing like the talent he has flashed. All the WR's will improve.

He played the #3 Role last year in the slot and he will continue to play that roll this year. Not sure why people are worried he will be a #2?

Dude was very, very solid as the #3 last year. Glad he is back in the fold as the #3 at best.

Maybe we should go after Braylon Edwards or Lee Evans like everyone killed the team for not getting last year and who are available this year still.;)

It figures Early would be Late to develop. It took him 4 years just to get to average. Tied for 51st in total catches, 57th in receiving yards and tied for 45th in TDs last season.

I'm not advocating this as a "fix" for the #2 spot, but do you think the team would have any interest in him on the cheap as a #3 or #4?
