It's only debatable because it was never reviewed. There's no way that it was as crystal clear as your making it out to be.

I thought he was out during the live play. Once I played it back and paused it when he foot and shin were down inbounds it became clear.

Again the issue I have is them not reviewing it.

Anyone defending this sham of a game wow why this game is over in the first half if we get half the calls and I never blame officials

jesus... what an incredible bunch of cry-babies. even with bad officiating, we were WINNING at the half and got DEMOLISHED 22-3 in the second.

and if Palmer doesn't throw the ball in the dirt to a wide-open Brown before the no PI call, it doesn't matter. Or if he didn't throw the ball right into double coverage at the end of the game... or if Brown doesn't fumble... if the D could get ANY pressure.

But yeah, it's all on the refs. what a joke you guys.

Come on cheese the refs taking away the Floyd TD, the no call when he was getting jersey pulled off just two of many that directly resulted in this loss. How many of the second half steelers drives kept alive with timely atrocious penalties called. To act like the refs had nothing to do with the outcome is just crazy!

the refs in the first half were not good at all... but like I said, we STILL had the lead and got DEMOLISHED in the second half when there weren't any atrocious penalties called. And again, Floyd DROPS the TD when there should have been a flag, but he still just DROPPED it. And Palmer one play earlier threw a sure TD in the freaking dirt to Brown. Make plays that are within your control and the refs can't do anything about it. We didn't.

and then, in the second half, we let a 3RD STRING QB do whatever he wanted against us. While the O scored 3 points at the same time. That's pathetic... period. And when it came right down to it, down 5, we had the ball and threw an atrocious pick and then with 3 TOs left and the ball deep in Pittsburg territory, we gave up an 80 yard TD. THAT IS ALL PATHETIC. THAT IS ALL ON THE TEAM.

All you need is one foot and a shin or knee. If two of those things touch inbounds the butt doesn't matter.

Okay, that must have been what I was misunderstanding. He clearly got the foot/shin on his left leg before his butt came down half in/half out of bounds. When they are reviewing the play-by-play Aikman says he got his right foot/leg down which he very clearly does not. It's all left leg.

Anyhow, thanks. I didn't understand that correctly apparently. BTW I think someone here brought up the ball moving. Was hard to tell because the good angle they cut short, but I think he had it long enough before that. Would have been difficult to overturn a touchdown called based on control of the ball through the catch.

It was a clear TD by the rule. That's not debatable. The issue is the refs not reviewing it.

Its crystal clear that Ronnie Milsap was the back judge & Stevie Wonder was in the replay booth. :bang:

Agree but did you watch the first half I don't blame officials ever we had chances all day but to ignore the bigger problems in my opinion is sheep like and I prefer not to cow tow to the nfl agenda

did you watch Palmer throw a sure TD into the dirt to Brown right before the non-PI Call? Did you watch Floyd still have the Non-PI call ball in his hand and just LOSE it? If you have an opportunity to MAKE plays on the road, you have to MAKE plays. And did the refs make Catman miss a field goal? Did the Steelers get any points out of the bad personal foul penalty in the end zone? No. So, great, we'd be up 14-3 at the half instead of 10-3. They still got annihilated in the second, turning the ball over twice, giving up huge third downs and then lying over and dying like dogs at the end.

The foot and shin were down prior to that shot so again the butt is irrelevant. Not sure why that's so hard to understand.

because it's easier for people to swallow that the refs lost us this game than realizing that the team isn't as good as most of us thought it was.

That's not true. He gets 1 foot down (left) then his left shin & his ass is on the line

Again, the foot and shin were down inbounds before his butt hits the white. As long as he possesses the ball the butt is irrelevant.

Freeze the very last frame before the video ends.

No one is disagreeing with the assertion that this team has major holes. As was indicated in the first post, this is a global assessment of Ed Hochuli. The point was made that he and his crew aren't very good at their jobs.

that's fine. I was talking about people making a stink about what was an obvious TD because... ah, forget it.
