Eh Nash (If you read this when you unbanned)
What is it about his oh so average numbers here that you are so in love with?? The fact that he obviously hit another gear that was the result of the huge chip on his shoulder, and the fact that he was auditioning for his next team.

He looked good towards the end of the year, but only because of the above reasons IMO.
He wasn't even given a chance towards the end of the year. Once we realized we had to try to run it too, we did better. I'm not bought on the job he did, but he did alright.

I have zero problem with his decision to stay in Florida, that is his home and we knew he was gone anyway. No sense to fly 1500 miles for a day of housekeeping.

Thanks for your work here, Edge. Thanks for taking the high-road on your benching, thanks for the SB run and giving us a running game in the playoffs.

Oh, and thanks for the black shoes.

Thank you Edge, for producing the same YPC avg as most the scrubs before you in Az.

And you did it for only 300 percent more $$ than they got.

Yes, I'm stirring the pot a little here, I know our failed running game comes down to a lot more factors i.e The O-line our play calling etc..

But the above still holds true.

Not cool... Edge put up back to back 1200 he'd. seasons and helped mentor tim and helped to carry our team to the superbowl! I am very thankful for James's contribution to this team.

Edge was ok here. But it is time to move on. I want to see D.Sproles as our new faster "Q". He can run, go out to WR, return punts.

Gimme Sproles & Hightower...

Thanks for the time you spent here Mr. James.

You wore a Cardinal uniform with class, which wins you place in my heart. Thank you also for your extreme effort throughout the playoffs contributing to the best season of football I have had the pleasure to participate in, the team may not have won the big game but what they did gain has been awesome.

Good luck where ever and what ever you land in.

Anyone who thinks this is good news is nuts.

Cardinal run blocking remains fairly suspect, and the one thing that kept opposing defenses at least a teeny bit honest was that at least Edge wouldn't lose yardage.

In other words, with THT and JJ handling the entire workload - and everything else being equal - the percentage of running plays resulting in tackles for losses can be expected to go up considerably.

We now have a hole in our depth chart. If we don't bring in one or two big strong 230 lb plowhorses who can pound it inside, we will be a weaker football team for it.

let's not forget that JJ is a free agent and might be gone too. I'm not particularly worried about the RB situation though. Whis inherited those two guys and the RB position has been, in relative terms, a weakness for the Cardinals for the past two years. I predict a moderately priced FA and a couple of draft picks coming in and Whis getting that unit the way he actually wants it.

The running game has been absolute trash forever here, Now were faced with losing a guy who showed he still has something in the tank, but needs to be properly motivated to lay it all on the line, anyone who can honestly say they didn't see a new spring in his step after it became clear he was auditioning for his next paycheck.. is kidding themselves.

See ya Edge

Maybe this is the year we REALLY upgrade the running game.
One can only hope.

Never thought this would happen but I have to respectfully disagree with Jeff G. Yes it's better to have 2nd and 8yds to gain then 2nd and 13. It is also far better to have a RB that can turn a sure 8 yd gain into a 50 yd gain, Edge couldn't do that anymore.

There will be a FA RB that can give us the same production as Edge at far less against the CAP. I also believe that Whiz doesn't like that Edge didn't stay in step with the rest of the band. Not attending "voluntary" workouts and all the minicamps etc. We do this together did not fit in with Edge's life style.

I am also in the camp of people that believe if Edge hadn't been on the team maybe AP was the choice instead of LB.

I guess I just wanted to hit as many hot buttons as possible with my reply. :)
