In the upcoming draft there at least 2 solid RBs and several just below the radar. With a whole college season to be played there will be better indications as to who is draft worthy.

Baffling, the one guy on this team that does NOT need a message is Shipp, as others have said he's been benched like this so many times I've lost count.

We all saw last year that Emmitt had little left in the tank, we've read stories more than once about how Emmitt is practically invisible on the team in camp right now most of the work going to Shipp. So how in the world did Emmitt get promoted now?

DG sure does keep you on your toes I'll give him that. Not saying Shipp is a premier RB or anything but I hope we don't have to go through what we did last year before Shipp gets the job back.

He's always being demoted for inferior players...

...by multiple coaches. What does that say? Maybe Shipp is the inferior player and we've all got the wrong idea about him.

I hope not, I see Shipp as our only hope of a running game this year, but I do trust in the wisdom of Denny Green... we'll have to see what happens.

Maybe it's just to give the fans something to talk about and keep interest in the team during the long offseason. :doi:

SWEET!

Well at least we know now that DG isn't content to settle for Ronnie Brown later in the first and is going right for Cadillac Williams at #5 overall. The move is just subtle enough to cost us a few games without looking like he's intentionally trying to throw the season...

At least that is what I am going to tell myself while I cry myself to sleep at night... =(

Whatever.

All I care about is who's starting in game one in St. Louise.

So far ...

Leonard has gone from rt. gaurd, to left gaurd, to left tackle.
LJ has gone from rt, to the bench.
Marcel snubbed for the third consecutive year.
AC is under the radar. (look out)
Kendall is safe, but we drafted two centers.
Quan has been moved to the outside.
McCown has been annointed starter, and Leon released.
Both of our run stuffing dt's, released.
There's more, too numerous to mention.

I'll never forget Emmitt in that game last year in Irving. I would have sworn, he was walking off the field for the last time at halftime of that game. He looked weak, meek, beaten down, he had "give up," written all over him. If he REALLY IS the best we have ...we're in big trouble.

I'm not buying what Denny's selling.

True. That was the worst game I've ever seen an offensive line play, college or pro. It was truly disgusting.

That said... THE HORROR!!!!

Hey, I'm in agreement with everything Denny does.

That doesn't mean I BELIEVE everything he says.

9-7 in 2004.
Just look at Dennis Green's career record. He's taken 7 different QBs to the Playoffs.

In order for this franchise to succeed, they must believe in DG. His track record has spoken for itself.

He has taken 7 different QBs to the playoffs.

He has always been a winner.

Dennis just won't stand for any nonsense.

Wow, I've been giving him the benefit of the doubt up to this point, but DG really screwed the pooch on this move. Idiotic is being kind. Smith has nothing left in the tank...remember, Shipp got the same crap blocking last year but looked 10 times better than Smith. Also, Shipp needs no motivation...he does that well enough on his own. This is nothing more than a slap to the face of a superior player (superior to Smith, anyways), and is wildly stupid, IMO.

I'm no big fan of Shipp, but he's better than Smith at this point in their careers. Unless there's something insanely terrible going on behind the scenes to justify this, then it was sheer stupidity.

Dont know how the oline showed their faces after that game. They had to have known that the dallas dline was after Smith. And they did nothing at all to protect him.

Who knows maybe Smith had something wrong with him all last year that made him look really, really, really, really, slow and it's been fixed? :hulk:

We got the other 31 teams right in our sight.....we cocked the hammer....then truned the gun at ourselves, and pulled the trigger.
We should be on ESPN Tonight....the "What were they thinking" segment

Cardinals | Smith Promoted to Starting RB - from www.KFFL.com
Thu, 17 Jun 2004 10:35:04 -0700

Darren Urban, of the East Valley Tribune, reports Arizona Cardinals head coach Dennis Green, in somewhat of a surprising move, has elevated RB Emmitt Smith to the No. 1 back on the team's depth chart. Smith hasn't started a game since the fifth game of the 2003 season, when he gained minus-1 yard on six carries and suffered a fractured scapula.

Yeah he should be fired right now before he leads the Cards into becoming the worst team in the NFL oh wait a second...

Don't forget he dumped Lucas "the playmaker" and his 2 ints in 5 years.

BTW isn't funny how the Cards are slowly moving up in people's perceptions? Moved up in Madden. That article today saying they were among the most improved. How great their draft was rated. Getting a top FA.

I don't doubt that Shipp will be the starter game 1, but the head games are going to get old (if in fact this is all some motivational ploy).
