I will be there just to sit in my seats :D

Me to!!

As for the people complaining about the day and time, keep in mind, there is no choice since it cannot happen on a weekend day due to the new CBA. The only other choice would be during the day, which would attract next to no body.

Ill be there in time for practice to start.

Things I will be watching:

1a. Floyd - See how big the guy is in person. 6'3 220 is no joke. Hes not impressive out-of-pads. His value is his physicality and blocking, so Im going in with an open mind that he will probably look a little slow in drills.

1b. Fleming - I heard Fleming has been a standout thus far. Considering the guys probably a future starter across from PP, Id like to get a look at him.

2. Skelton throwing - Gotta check out our QB in action

3. PP - Heard hes gotten better, smoother.

4. Ryan Williams - Looking for speed and cutting ability.

5. Massie

6. Ryan Arukwe - the track star WR. Loking for speed.

7. remaining rookies - Senio, Bethel, Eddie Elders, Lindley, Nate

39. Kolb throwing - IDC if Kolb is even there really, but if he is, be interesting to see if he can hit Housler on the go route down the center for once in his career.

Lines are super long now. Been waiting 15 minutes to get in and still not near the entrance. Looks like the first sellout of the year, lol.

My kid had a blast, he got CC autograph. Calais was super nice and talked to me for a minutes about wanting to be a Cardinal for life. Peterson signed more than he was suppose to and the blonde lady yelled at him. He didn't care though, he signed for any kid that wanted one, even if they didn't have a wristband.

Just got home. Had a blast.
That place was a mad house. They ended up opening extra gates, and eventually extra sections.
$1 hotdogs and soda (in the collector cups from last year).
Ran into some family and friends, along with a ton of screaming kids around me, made it so I didn't get to concentrate on everything as much as I'd have liked.

Stand-outs.
Crezdon Butler - A couple of totally blown plays, a couple of plays with great coverage, one break-up.
Bobby Massie - Should change his name to Massive. He is huge.
Early Doucet - Had a couple nice catches today. Including one while falling backwards.
Kevin Kobb - Over threw Fitz on a bomb. Got boo'd for putting one at Houslers toes. Followed it up with an interception on a corner fade that was way under thrown.
Reggie Walker - Got an interception, put on a show in the endzone.
Adrian Wilson - Did about 30 push-ups after missing on a pick.
Gregg Toler - Got alot of time, didn't look very good, knee still heavily wrapped.
Ryan Williams - Looked like everyone else. No limp or favoring that I noticed. Alfonso Smith seemed to get the most snaps at RB.
Ryan Lindley - Threaded a couple needles.
Todd Heap - Looked his age. Wasn't looking when a ball almost hit his face.
Micheal Adams - Still shorter than the ballboys. At one point was in coverage on 6'4" LaRon Byrd.

There was no way in hell I was battling rush hour traffic to get to this. I have to say this may be my biggest gripe since becoming a season ticket holder. Fanfest on a weekday in Glendale? No thanks.

A few more things.

I didn't notice any change at QB. Kobb still looked skittish, Running sideways a lot, running into the defense. Skelton looked calm, made some bad decisions.

Someone else did maybe 10 push-ups after missing a pick. I wanna say it was Eddie Elder but I'm not sure.

During some of the defensive drills, some players were wearing bags on their helmets. Some blue, red and a couple yellow. Is Horton implementing a color coded defense?:Dold

Overall, fan fest was neither festive nor fan oriented. Pretty lame, TBH, but just getting to sit in the stadium and watch practice was fun.

Kevin Kolb - If all his practices go like that, then there wont be a QB competetion for long. He looked like a bum. Put one on a guys laces, over threw Doucet so that it landed out of bounds, got picked horribly in the end zone and got swatted down. Not to mention, he wouldve gotten sacked on damn near every snap, he takes so long to throw.

My friend, whos not Cards fan but knows who Kolb is, said "Whos 19? hes way better than Kolb" Im like I know, thats Skelton.

Was so happy he got boo'd. Everyone feels the same way. Skelton needs to be named starter so he can get all the reps.

Floyd looked good. Guys got better hands than I expected.

Was on the opposite of the field so I didnt see any of the DBs work. A couple of them, during 11 on 11, looked terrible. Obviously theres no contact allowed, but still, really bad.

final thoughts: Team looked rusty, Kolb looked like ****, Skelton looked really good.

In my opinion, it was not very well organized. I guess they weren't expecting that many people to show. We waited almost 30 minutes just to get in. There was no security outside to help with crowd control and a bunch of people jumped the line.

It was a madhouse inside and, initially, very difficult to get around. At one point some of the concession stands ran out of hot dog buns and ice. The lines were crazy long. I was glad we ate before we hot in.

Once we got setttled, it was pretty cool. Definitely got me psyched for the season. And, for as much as it was a pain grtting in, it was kinda nice sering so many fans out. Hard to really assessed anything playerwise this early, but the passing game is gonna need some more work.
