In my opinion, it was not very well organized. I guess they weren't expecting that many people to show. We waited almost 30 minutes just to get in. There was no security outside to help with crowd control and a bunch of people jumped the line.

It was a madhouse inside and, initially, very difficult to get around. At one point some of the concession stands ran out of hot dog buns and ice. The lines were crazy long. I was glad we ate before we hot in.

Once we got setttled, it was pretty cool. Definitely got me psyched for the season. And, for as much as it was a pain grtting in, it was kinda nice sering so many fans out. Hard to really assessed anything playerwise this early, but the passing game is gonna need some more work.

Remember the Patriots game at SDS in '04? With the Tillman tribute and the Pats being in town tens of thousands of people showed up and the SDS folks were overwhelmed. People would leave at halftime to go get something from the concession stand and wouldn't get back until almost the start of the 4th quarter.

But this kind of support is what all of us long time hard core fans have wanted for years. So it's hard to complain about long lines. Though you would think that after continuous sell outs since 2006 and the huge increase in attendance at TCamp the Cards and the UPS folks would be better prepared.

One huge benefit of Club Level seats is the ease of getting into the stadium. It has saved as much as a half hour getting in at some games.

He gets bood because he is an erratic QB without superior intangibles and no pocket presence. The fans want a good QB and want whiz to know the fans opinions. Pretty simple if you ask me.

Freak concussion cannot be used when you get concussed every season. Beyond his freak concussion, he sucks. Runs into linebackers or hold the ball until he cant anymore and has to throw an ugly pass behind a receiver.

Here's the reality of the situation.. Had we not done something last year, everyone would have had a hissy fit that we didn't..

We would have been stuck with Skelton, and when he failed. Everyone would have had a hissy fit..

We did do something, and the lockout hindered the process.. Everyone is having a hissy fit..

So why not compound the whole thing and make us as fans look like jackasses and at the same time show absolutely no faith in the QB, our staff or team..

Just all sounds freaking dumb considering the circumstances..

I will be more than happy to critisize Kolb if he doesn't get his crap together this year.. BTW

What makes you so sure Skelton would have failed?

We're in the southwest, not the Deep South. Football isn't a religion here, and faith has to have a basis in trust.

What has this coaching staff done since turning to a 2-time NFL MVP to illustrate that we SHOULD have faith in their evaluation of the quarterback position.

We didn't continue our pursuit of Peyton Manning because we had to pay Kevin Kolb. Kevin Kolb (apparently) hasn't improve now that he's had 8 games in the system, maybe 2000 practice reps with his teammates, and eleven months to get into the playbook and get to know his teammates. What's the excuse now?

It's especially frustrating when Kolb is making the same mistakes that we saw last year (holding the ball too long, missing Rob Housler (on whom we're depending apparently on opening up the middle of the field), etc.).

If you're saying that the Cards made a panic move last year that was a bad one, then you're in agreement with the fans who booed. I don't think that a successful front office panics when they leave the cupboard bare at the most important position in football and then moves their chips to the middle of the table on a QB as clearly limited as Kevin Kolb.

Cool.

I will boo Kolb if I want. before we courted Kolb I wanted Skelton over him so it is what it is. I want Kolb to be awesome because he is a cardinal but if he stinks, I will boo him. My right as a fan. Sorry you are embarrassed by my behavior.

Can we actually talk about Fan Fest and not the same round and round about Kolb and Skelton or what makes a good fan?

Anyone else with observations?

True. The lines and crowds were not the problem; they were a symptom of the problem, which was underestimation of attendance and, thus, poor planning.

Still a fun night and definitely good to see the fan support and excitement.

TJ and Gee are my boys but lets stop worrying about Kolb and how its embarassing the fans of the team.

Kolb is embarassing the team.

This clown has an entire offseason to become more accurate and show his improvement and hes the worst QB in a freaking 7 on 7 practice. Whats he going to do when live bullets are flying?

Screw this guy. Hes made 13 million off of this franchise for absolutely nothing so far. He should be booed until further notice.

Get your act together Kolb or go be a back up in Cleveland. I am tired of supporting underachieving Quarterbacks. And yes I am not looking too much into this. How this guy looks "skittish" and inaccurate in a made up pocket where no one is touching him is beyond me.

Quit babying the multi millionaire athlete. Get your act together or get out of town simple.

The parallels between Leinart and Kolb are making me sick to my stomach.....

Yes, Gee. That's exactly what people are saying about Kolb. Good work.

Quoted on the radio as 15,000 fans. Sure seemed like more inside.

That's one unalloyed good from fan fast. That so many fans went out to the West Valley on a 107 degree day to watch a glorified walk-through for a team that was 8-8 last year with one of the worst quarterback situations in the NFL?

Fantastic. The football fans in Arizona (and elsewhere) have really exceeded my expectations. Arizona Cardinals fans are great fans.

I really enjoyed seeing so many families with young kids. Babies even. It's nice that more and more kids will be brought up in the Cardinals culture and not whatever team their parents were fans of back east.

Plus, the politeness of people in this town never ceases to amaze me. People were letting each other cut through the lines and making way for people with little kids. Our hot dog line was full of people talking with each other about favorite players and games. When the autograph area was put on the screen in the concession stand kids were naming the players. Great atmosphere to be in.

A little more organization would be nice but it was great to be inside and out of the heat.

Further, we're ONLY a decent QB (even between 10-20) from being a playoff team and having something to get really excited about. We gave up a 2nd rounder and a former pro bowler for a QB that can't even be average, and is on the low end of below average.

It's amazing that people continue to be so obtuse about what he's shown, I'd love to have any sign that he's ready to take the reigns and step up. Nothing. Oh, and even if he's healthy and productive, (a great stretch), he's one hit away from a career ending concussion.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he continues to "perform" like this that Skelton emerges as the starter.

My favorite is the judgement of a person who did not take the time, money and effort to be at the practice on another who did take the time, money and effort to go to the event, and calls him a horrible fan, and questions if he roots for the team he is there to see when there is no other team there. LOL.

Bro, read my location.

Do you honestly think I have the opportunity to go to Fan Fest in the middle of the week?

You should know. You're an out of town fan like myself. So in reality, what gives you more of a right to be judge and jury than I?

Oh, grading of "how good a fan you are" has begun already. :shakeshead: 1. Its a business. 2. We pay to root how we please, if you don't like it then fine, but respect your fellow fans, IMO, cause when you judge others, you are asking to be judged yourself. I will save the time for anyone judging me. How good of a fan I am is relative, but if you ask me I am also not going to be as big a fan as the person asking. Everytime.

The threshold is when fans begin to root AGAINST players on the team. I don't care if you're pulling for Skelton or Kolb. There is a 100% chance one of the two is going to win the job, which means a 100% chance that someone is going to be disappointed. If Kolb starts Week 1, what are you going to do? Continue to boo him?

For me, it's the old adage, "you root for the name on the front of the jersey as opposed to the back." I don't care who is under center as long as he produces.

For me? Do whatever! You are paying for it, so let'em know how you feel if your want, or blindly root in the positive if you want. I just wish I could be there, but the cross-country trip makes it hard. Nothing more fun that hanging out with rabid Cardinals fans at the home. Still smile when I think about how much fun that trip was.

Sure, but the posts to which I was referring clearly showed intent for wanting Kolb to fail.

You have never booed the cardinals in any way? I find it funny when people get judgemental over booing. I scream at kolb all day from my couch.

I have never rooted against a player on the Cardinals, regardless of circumstance. This includes players I have not been high on, such as Anderson and Levi Brown.

I have the exact opposite attitude on this.

Are you a fan of the team or the player? If you are a fan of the TEAM you should be upset with a player if his performance on the field or actions off the field are hurting your TEAM.

If you're a fan of the TEAM, you ought to cheer for anyone who plays for the TEAM. Not wish for their demise.

In this case, if Skelton wins the job, I'm going to cheer like hell for him. If Kolb wins the job, I'm going to cheer like hell for him. If, somehow, Lindley wins the job, I'm going to cheer like hell for him.

I dont think your in a minority. People see him not produce and boo though, its not a deep concept.

Skelton didn't produce, and arguably played worse than Kolb.

Based on the same logic, should fans have booed him too?

I dont root against the player. Booing a guy for a bad performance is not rooting against him it is voicing your displeasure. I am rooting for skelton to win starter and kolb to lose it, yes. But, I believe Kolb is hot garbage. My opinion is like yours, everyone has one and they are all worthless to everyone but yourself.

Are you kolbs cousin? why do you care if I boo kolb? get over it man. Skelton won games. Skelton showed poise in the pocket. I think skelton is far better and I dont like Kolb. See all those I's? thats because its MY opinion. Thx.\

If you want to boo Skelton, go for it. Free country. Voice your opinion. Make it heard.

It is encouraging and probably means the Cardinals have definitely turned the corner. It's not the Steelers or Packers, but it's a vast improvement over the pre-Whisenhunt era IMO. Now solve the QB situation and reward the fans.

I never wanted to trade for Kolb and I think everyone has a right to cheer any way they want but I think it's classless to boo a player at practice.
