I don't think any system can live up to the NES or SNES. So what was your favorite NES game? Mine is Mega Man 2. Lots of fun to play, had great graphics for the time.

I never had one favorite game on NES.

I'll come up with a list of 10 later today.

Super Mario Bros
Gyromite (w/ Robot)
Bubble Bobble
Contra
Dragon Warrior
Battletoads
Legend of Zelda
Mike Tyson's Punchout
Tecmo Super Bowl
Ninja Gaiden

Damn, that took me about 30 seconds to come up with that list. Ask me tomorrow and I might change a couple.

I downloaded Punchout and Kid Icarus on my first Wii, I should get them back.

Do you guys remember actually having to write down 30 digit passwords in order to save a game..........

Memory cards.... Pfft.

The worst was actually the mega man games. They had the grid and you had to put the little bubbles in the correct spot on the grid.

The grid was much easier to remember. Especially when 0 and O looked so much alike with the fonts they used.

i remember how awesome zelda was because you save your game on the cartridge. Of course, you had to blow in the system, enter the game halfway and snap it in for it to work.

I learned a lot about foreplay from those old Nintendos.

even more amazing, there was no internet, we all figured out the same fixes to the console as everyone else just by intuition.

NOt even just blowing in the carts, but beating levels, bosses, etc. Outside of Nintendo Power (and the newsletter before it) and the Nintendo help line, we moved some information around. :)
