Last episode was pretty good. On a side note, David Goyer who has taken creative control of the show will be making some changes to it. They are saying that his changes should be "felt" starting with episode 13. He was in line to take over after his contract with 24 expired. The back 9 episodes are his and I can't wait to see what he does.

I like how many of the complaints about this show are the same kinds of complaints I had about a certain show that I always bash that people seem to love lol

Not sure I agree about the last episode being pretty good. I thought it was ok, relatively boring up until the end. The whole cliched evil senator thing is just not very interesting. And Joseph Fiennes still can't act in this show.

It took my awhile but I am starting to warm up to him. I would like to see them dive more into his struggles. He is not a bad actor. Some of my favorite shows like Smallville or a certain new vampire show have a couple bad actors in them but I still like them.

The weak link for me in this show is they still have not completely grabbed me. For instance, I am not sure I care why the blackouts happened. They also have not yet moved fast enough to show the consequences (good or bad) from the visions.

Oh, I think Joseph Fiennes is a great actor. But compare this performance with his performance in Shakespeare in Love. He's like a totally different actor. I don't know, maybe if they would have just let him use his British accent, it would be better. But I constantly think of Batman when I hear him talk. And believe you me, he's no Batman... ;)

As far as the consequences of the visions go, it's difficult to show that before they actually happen. Even though people had a clear view of the future, they still can't predict it.

I thought the last episode was great. I think the acting is fine--not knock-your-socks-off good, but fine for netowrk TV.

The ONLY thing that bugs me about this show is that in the visions no one seems to be anticipating that moment. The entire world is aware that on that day at 10:00 PM they'll be living a moment that they've already seen, but the visions don't reflect that knowledge. Why didn't 10% of the world see themselves in some kind of vigil?

Also, who gets an ultrasound at night?

Good points about the vigil thing. I wondered the same thing about the altrasound. Maybe it had something to go with getting shot and going to the ER or something. I am sure they will not leave a hole that big open without a purpose.

Good points but we have not seen really that many visions. For instance, what if the visions that Mark is having of him drinking prior to the masked gun men coming....is him knowing that he can't change things.....he knows what is coming so he turns to drinking? Not a vigil but it could be an indication he knew what was coming.

Yeah, I was just using the vigil as an example--you'd think you'd might have a bunch of cults popping up around the event and such. But NONE of the visions we're privy to have any anticipation of that moment. Heck the regional deputy director of the FBI is in the can.

Any time shows involve time paradox stuff though it's always complicated like that. Maybe just by having the visions, events have already changed?? Some things seem to be coming true but if events have changed, then the time line has already changed as well and they have already splintered into an alternate time line.

I am very interested to see how they handle this.

Well, I think the only reason his wife is going to end up with the other guy (other than I think it's being rigged) is because she'll be mad he was drinking in his flash forward.

Actually, that's typical female behavior...blaming a guy for something he hasn't even done yet :D

Two things that have popped into my mind were mentioned in the last episode. 2. The quantum physics idea that observing an event affects the event and 2. that people will be observing 10:00 PM, April 29th (the woman that Charlie is doing on the train says it's going to be like NYE, with "a ball dropping and everything."

I'm really loving this show.

More twists last night. I assumed someone would try to "change the game," but that final scene was quite interesting.

Anyone still watching this? Boring episode last night. And my question: Why doesn't everyone just stay home on the day in which their future is supposed to come true?

I am; and still really enjoying it.

I think we must be dealing with alternate timelines. I think all of the visions people saw is what would have happened had the blackout not occurred. The explanation for everything still seemingly pointing to that "fate" is that there's still a number of things that get set in motion that are hard to knock off course, but obviously no one's vision is going to happen exactly as they saw it--as I mentioned before, observing a phenomenon changes said phenomenon. There's no way everyone is living that moment unaware of the significance.

I'm enjoying this show but my one worry is that they'll introduce too many characters and it'll be hard to keep up. Last ngith when they showed the guy at the end getting the briefcase I was like "now who the heck is this?" and not in a good way.

I did read the book recently because of this show. Way different but a good story on its own. About the only similarities were the blackout, the visions (although in the book it was much farther in the future), a murder victim and a suicide from a guy who experienced a vision.

Yeah, no doubt about it. If they were aware of the blackout they would have prepared messages to see during their flashforward. They definitely wouldn't have spent it on the toilet or something like that.

Anyone still watching this?

They added another former Battlestar actor, but the show is starting to drag for me.

Yeah, it took me a minute to identify him.

I absolutely LOVE this show. It's not dragging for me at all.

I like the show but it got off to a really slow start before building any momentum. I am afraid that will ultimately make this a short lived show.

I too have been watching (catching up online). Liked it at first, then it really got bogged down. Last few episodes have been better, but not sure this makes it to another season.

One of the problems is they have a nice plot construct/mystery and a bunch of great actors, but really uneven writing. Some of the main character decisions/motivations/actions just don't make a lot of sense, especially episode-to-episode.

Hope it gets another season to find its legs...

Yeah, the show is getting better with the main plot, but man, I'm so done with the Lloyd/Olivia thing already.

Besides being lame beyond words in terms of a triangle relationship based on possible futures they know they can change now, the two actors have ZERO chemistry.

The guy playing Lloyd is way overdoing the introverted scientist angle (he is dull, dull, dull), and the actress playing Olivia always looks like she can't understand why she's interested in the guy either when they are in the same scene. She is way more believable when not around him.

I mean, we are spoiled by her as Penny with Desmond in Lost (and damn, do those two have natural chemistry on screen). But come on...if this show survives, it needs to lose that plot line fast.

I have all the FlashForward episodes DVR'd. Is the show good enough to invest my time?
