no... they've gotten everything wrong.

I meant the show overall not just last season. I would say they have gotten way more right. The same can't be said a season and one episode into FTWD. Honestly, the webisodes have been better than this show.

fear has gotten everything wrong. dead has been overall solid and watchable for most of it's run, but was incredibly stupid too many times for me this season.

The webisodes have been great. Makes it even more confusing why fear has fallen so short

Tonight's episode was meh again. They make their foreshadowing so obvious. Even the ending was completely predicable.

I mean, the lady asking again and again about whether or not Madison likes kids and so forth. Also, the audience may have asked "what about the brother who's all military and badass? Think he's gonna let his brother go? Also, wouldnt it be crazy if they have to kill his undead mom that his sister bit? Kinda would hammer home the mom death thing this show is going for"

This show hates moms. Or maybe the writers have some unresolved mommy issues.

I was kinda thinking the show took an upswing with this episode. Yeah, I was also wondering how come they were not taking the teenager also....

curious..... am I the only one who thinks the brother is taking them south to sell them?
I mean... he BOUGHT junkie depp at the containment place didn't he?? Then he gets a few more for free due to circumstances unforeseen..... he is planning secret meetings with forces unknown....
pretty sure he is gonna sell them off for more supplies....

my question about tonights episode.... dad sent them all away...as they are leaving you hear a gunshot...assumed he shot the kid..... but then mom comes wandering out..... maybe dad shot himself instead?? why would he shoot the kid, but allow mom to turn and wander away? Pretty sure teenage dude and little brother are gonna get home and find little sister still roaming the house...and dad laying in the bedroom sans grey matter...

If that were true, you'd think he'd have been ok taking the kid. Bigger bounty. He's up to something, and that's possible but I don't think that's what it is. My guess is he was a drug dealer and hopes his heavily armed guys back in mexico will have the ability to keep him safe.

The first interesting characters in this series (Isolationist Dad, Not Mother of the Year, and State Militia Leader teenager) are dumped after one episode.

But not before we see our heroes acting dumb, by doing dumb things, because they're dumb. Hot plaid shirt wearing chick wears earbuds while walking in an unknown area. Junkie Depp searches for pills like a trained pig finds truffles, in a home of armed (possibly unhinged) strangers. Mention "low on supplies" multiple times, but don't recon a resort town that would be low on population and high on supplies.

I'm not a huge fan of Strand, or killing annoying people, but Madison's predilection for giving orders on his boat and adopting other people's children is cause to throw her brow-furrowing-school-of-acting butt overboard.

This may be the most bungled show I've ever witnessed. They knew making this thing that people wanted to see how society collapsed, they showed the first roughly... 8 hours of it, then skipped the rest.

And these characters are wretched. I also don't get what happened to Kim Dickens acting ability. Everything else I've seen her in she is great, on this show the shows the emotional range of a peacock. Nothing but blank stares and a resting bitch face.

So, as someone who actually likes TWD despite all of its flaws, I should still avoid this one? I never got around to watching the first season and keep hearing nothing but bad things.

Give it a shot! Its better than nothing when TWD is not on. Its not as good, but my wife and I enjoy it at least.

Don't waste your time. As much as I can't stand how bad TWD got, I could probably force myself to watch it if a significant other wanted me to watch it with her bad enough. If a SO tried to get me to watch FTWD, well, she'd be an ex-SO, if you know what I mean ;)

TWD started out stellar before it got bad, in my estimation, and still had moments of brilliance. FTWD had nothing, nada, zip, zilch.

one thing I have kinda noticed.... FTWD,... clearly demonstrates a left coast bias in politics,lol.... have not really noticed any real leanings in TWD

pretty sad that Georgia can produce a better zombie show than Hollywood really.......

They had a shot at creating something similar to World War Z (the book, not the Brad Pitt movie), by telling different stories when the crap hit the fan. That would have been epic and fun to watch, assuming they could actually write something cohesive and intelligent to fit that story telling. Instead it's a crappy attempt at re-creating TWD.

They should really rename this show Fear the Dead Writers. They are simply awful. It's like they skipped right into trying to recreate TWD with a different cast. The only difference is Season 1 we got a stroll down Zombie Wisteria Lane and now a tour on the SS Zombie. The only think missing is the coconut cream pies and crazy inventions by the Professor.

This show was suppose to be different. It was supposed to give us the epic stuff that led to the collapse of everything. It's become a cheap knockoff of the original show.

I thought this was the best episode they have done in this show
, it's a shame none of the characters came with. Prior to the ranger guy possibly having his pact, he was a possible knowledgeable survival ready guy to Join in. His son had potential as well. Oh well.

Guess we will have to hope strands mission proves to be a good story

Too bad you aren't watching, I'm curious if it's biggest critics enjoyed this episode

With all the spoilers I laid out it wouldn't be as interesting though

it was an okay episode, but that's not saying much... or maybe it is for this show.

I love you guys for running with the Junkie Depp gloss.

Every freaking time! I see it and I think this is my lasting legacy. And I'm like...cool.

I think the only people who roll with this name are my family and this board.

If you're a fan of the genre sure, give it a go. I'm done with it though. Another show where I'm rooting for everyone to die. The characters are really rough and a few that are insufferable. Anytime the teenage boy (not Junkie Depp, the other male kid) is on the screen just go ahead and fast forward, it will probably improve the show substantially.

I have my daughter using this too. And of course I gave you credit...

"Dad, did you come up with Junkie Depp? Because it's perfect!!!"

"Ah, no. While I'd love to take credit for it, my buddy Donald "D-Dogg" came up with that."

..."D-Dogg ,huh?... With a name like that he's undoubtedly the nickname master!"

LOL!!!!
