Happy to announce I am signed back with the @AZCardinals
I never wanted to play with different teammates or for another organization.

Cool. I know he has his ups and downs but I have always liked him. Glad he's back.

I think he will have some real competition to make the team this year.

I like him and he is solid kicker. IMO, the Cards have been trying to replace him for years, but nobody can beat him out in preseason.

I remember how classy Jay Feely was the day after the season ended after he had missed two FGs versus the 49ers and how he spoke about how invested he is in the Cardinals' organization, his teammates and community. Feely has had his fair share of clutch FGs---and typically has two dud games---and what he really needs to do is improve his kickoffs. BA is going to ride him hard and hopefully this year we will see Feely thrive.

Never had a problem with his accuracy..... It's his kickoffs....I think he pretty much lost us at least one game with his short kickoffs. Th last game against SF comes to mind.

Maybe the new strength & conditioning coach will help with his kick offs?

I was told no way this happens that Arians was tired of him etc... At the end of the season by multiple posters. Too funny.

Meh. Hopefully we bring in competition. Hoping that he'll somehow get a stronger leg in the offseason seems like wishful thinking. Maybe he should focus less on doing curls and more on legs?

Good. One less position to worry about this offseason. I have no problem with bringing Feely back. He is a decent kicker and a good guy.

There will be competition.

The move makes sense for both sides. The Cardinals want a veteran kicker going into the offseason — they already signed Danny Hrapmann as a young, big leg to compete — and Feely wanted to return.

If Feely were are bad as people purported, he would've been gone after 2011. This is his 3rd contract with the team under two different regimes.

1-yr deal for @jayfeely. He expects comp. “I’ve had competition almost everywhere I’ve been for 13 years, why should the 14th be different?”

I was really hoping he would not return. He is a decent field goal kicker, but his kickoffs are horrible. It really puts our kickoff team in a difficult spot to have almost no touchbacks. They didn't cover very well last year and I thought it would have been a priority to bring in a bigger leg at kicker.

:barf:

Such a dumb move that will yet again cost us at least two games with his poor accuracy and poor kick offs.

Most kickers who have been in this league have had their ups and downs when they have played as long as Feely but few have survived that long if one acknowledges all the kickers which come and go. His kickoffs leave a lot to be desired but his ability to kick field goals is still better than the Rackers of the league in clutch time... and he truly appreciates the Cardinals :)

Special teams sucked donkey balls last year…

Meh.. Kicker was hit and miss… I could take him or leave him (I don't care how big his biceps are).

I would re-think the teams coach before anything else; that dude sucks compared to kevin spencer….

Yeah, I said it and I believed it. His kick offs are atrocious, and I thought those two missed FGs again San Fran sealed his fate.

I am interested in seeing his competition.

This happened in January. Have no idea if he is any good

The Arizona Cardinals have added some kicker depth.
The team announced it has signed Danny Hrapmann to a futures contract.

Hrapmann, 24, spent 2013 training camp with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He appeared in one preseason game, connecting on his only extra point attempt and forcing touchbacks on both of his kickoffs.

A 5-foot-9 player out of Southern Mississippi, Hrapmann is known for having a strong leg and converted 49-of-65 field goal attempts in college while missing just one of his 117 extra point attempts. He was a first-team All America selection as a junior in 2010 and a Lou Groza Award finalist.

Yeah, we don't need a kicker whose made 98 of 115 FGs & perfect on XPs. ;)
Btw that's 85%. Probably the best kicker (% wise the Cards have had for eternity).

Sure his KOs aren't the greatest but he's pretty damn reliable for kicking it between the sticks.

This... and throw in Powers because people want him replaced too, though he is the best #2 corner we have had in a while :D
