Didn't really show up until last night and his nice interception.

Funny, he had a nice interception in his last pre-season game with the Steelers before the cut him and the Cardinals claimed him.

He might get a look elsewhere.

Poor guy got hosed on the catch that set up the game winning field goal.

Some of the worst offensive pass interference I have ever seen.

I would take a shot at Joselio Hanson as he is a terrific nickel corner.

I'm torn on Hoyer, teams generally don't cut quality QBs.

Yeah I would look heavily at Hoyer and consider cutting Lindley to the PS. That would be a cheap upgrade, with a guy that could start if/when Kolb and Skelton suck/injured.
Hoyer looked VERY Kolb/Skeltonish this preseason.

Things that make you go hmmm...

Why does it make you go Hmmmm?

It isn't like the guy was lighting the 2nd and 3rd stringers of the NFL on fire or anything. 3 preseasons on a row he hasn't even been able to get over 60% completion rate. He is just a name at this point in his career. Just keep Lindley who has just as much talent but way more upside. And that is from a guy who is ambivalent to Lindley.

Couple of interesting guys that peak my interest -

Dan Koppen as a savvy vet to be our backup center.

Rookie Andrew Datko who was interesting coming out of the draft but I haven't followed in preseason at all so he may have sucked or his shoulder injuries still haven't healed.

Jah Reid is the epitome of what they look for in a OL. Plays both guard and tackle. Not sure he is healthy though. 3rd round 2011 pick from the Ravens

If we go after Hoyer, it will be because Jason Licht like what he saw in him while he was in New England.

Sounds like Eagles are cutting Brandon Washington OG and trying to get him on the practice squad.

I am interested to see what LBs the Broncos cut. Several names on that depth chart that I have liked. (Irving, Franklin, Beal played DE for them.)

They do when they're scheduled to make 1.9 million as the third string.

Mallett is very talented, I wanted us to draft him last year...

SF has 3 possible cuts that interest me. QB if they cut Tolzien he is intriguing, I don't really like Josh Johnson those 2 are fighting for the 3rd spot.

I like Kenny Rowe, might be too light though for the 3-4 but interesting LB.

And it sounds like they're going to try and get Chris Owusu on the practice squad. If he didn't have the concussion issues I'd be all over him as a kick return and speed threat but frankly I'm surprised he lasted all through camp, great kid but got hurt several times at Stanford.

I really like Irving; would cut Walker for him, Irving is more dynamic.

And suck in preseason.

The only reason the Pats put a 2nd round tender on him was to increase the PR on him to raise his stock and try to trade him. That has been the story all offseason long.

Rotoworld got it right, "It's also an indication Hoyer's stock isn't nearly as high around the league as the Patriots' press corps has long believed. Hoyer was tendered at the second-round level in March after beat writers speculated he might receive a first-round tender."

and this is why I put my faith in Jason Licht. If the Cards grab Hoyer it is because Licht really likes him, and if they don't, Licht knows he is nothing special.

Sturdivant is making strides---but it looked like Colin Parker had a better game the last two weeks, so it could be Parker, not Sturdivant to the PS.

+1

Sturdivant is gone. I don't see what others see in the guy. He looks slow and lost out of the field to me. I'd rather see Parker stick around.

Yeah, except he may get snagged first by the Chiefs, who also have the inside info on the pats' personnel---and the Chiefs are at #8 in the pecking oder, the Cardinals #13.

On one of his earlier plays last night, I saw Sturdivant overrun his gap and find himself out of position on a zone cutback running play. He looked pretty good on other plays, but the inconsistency (compared to other contenders) this week probably did him in.
