Nice to hear we are still interested in James Jones.

Signed Womack as a back up G.

Note: Bridges and Womack can play T & G.

Anxious that there is nothing on the NT front.

remember James Hodgins completely revamping our running game when we signed him in 2003? me neither. that's my feeling on Jeff King. his upgrade is ultimately meaningless if the 5 guys on the line are still mediocre to awful.

The line will be fine. The oline has not been good for two years. Change ie good, and I have seen the two we signed play better than what we have had around. To be honest, I have never saw what Lutui did that was so special, and Faneca was way past his prime. Reggie Wells was the other guard before that, and I didn't like him either. I am all for the change. I would have liked a better talent then the two that we signed, but again, the two signed are better then what we had, IMHO.

King is an upgrade, and can throw it back in my face if he comes here and for some reason just sucks. But, based on what I have seen he makes a difference when it comes to blocking.

And, furthermore, I do, in fact, watch TE's while watching football games to see how well they block. Why ? Cause I want to see what it looks like since ours team's TE's never seem to be able to do it.

Heath Miller <--- best in the league.

Quick 53.
Opening day "Starters" <--- In MY opinion. In bold

QB
Kolb
Skelton
Bartel

RB: (tough one .... who will start?)
Wells
Williams
LSH
[Would be nice to sign Meweldi Moore, but it does NEED to happen]

FB:
Sherman

WR:
Fitzgerald
[Stucky/_______] <-- Hoping for James Jones I'll take Braylon Edwards
Stucky/Roberts
Roberts/Doucet
Doucet/Williams

TE:
Heap
King
Housler

OT:
Brown
Keith
Bridges

OG:
Colledge
Womack
Lutui

OC:
Sendlien
Hadnot

NT:
Williams
_______ <--- See list above.

DE:
Docket
Campbell
Eason
Holliday/Carter <--- I think Holliday is going to retire, or never show up in AZ. too bad.

OLB:
Haggans
Schofield
Porter
Acho

ILB:
Bradley
Washington
Lenon
Sturdivant

CB:
Marshall
Toler
Peterson
Adams
Green*/Jefferson <-- my money is on Green. "Little guys that can hit." Yep, and return punts (well, not really return, more like, I know he will at least catch the stupid thing.)

FS:
Rhodes
Johnson* <--- may get a run for his money against one of the UDFA's

SS:
Wilson
Andrew Rich * - Putting my money on this pony for the offseason. Sounds like the perfect back up for Wilson.

K:
Feely

P:
Graham

LS:
Leach

Player #52 - BPA, injury
Player # 53 - BPA, injury

_______________________________________________________________________________

The pass rush is such a worry. There is just too much of a question mark there. We have two very average CB's, and a rookie. Without some pressure they are dead in the water.

James Jones, and a NT would really tie this roster together.

IF Kolb works out, we should be in the running for the division.

Speak !

I also see the problem with the OLB'ers. But I think our ILB position will be decent.

I like Stewart Bradley, and have so since day 1. He has one big reg flag with is his health. I agree it is a risk. I also believe "IF" he stays healthy we will be very happy with him.

WILB - Either Daryl Washington becomes the player we drafted him to be or deal with Paris Lenon for another season.

This. We have to get the Oline together and bring in some talent.

Backup NT
OLB: Davis
They carry 10 DB's usually (6/4 or 5/5)
Johnson and Abdullah are shoe-ins (IMO)

Would be shocked if we get more than one or two (excluding brining back our own guys), but here is what I'd love to see us to do close out the free agency period:

OL - Justin Blalock - best OL left out there

WR - James Jones - saw an article on AZCards board saying we might still be interested -- sure hope so!

TE - Todd Heap - good short-term weapon while Housler develops

NT - Gabe Watson - we need a backup NT, so might as well keep him

RB - Tim Hightower - no one is going to give him an offer, so he'll be back

OLB - Lawson/Roth/Banta-Cain/Derrick Harvey - I'll be honest, not high on any of these guys, but some more competition at OLB is needed

I think Johnsons safe.

He started to come around last year and started to make some plays.

Also heard an interview with A Dub where he said one of the guys making the most strides during the off season was Rashad Johnson.

Said he has been working his tail off and called him a beast.

Given the past few days, I have a hard time imaging anything they could do to please your exacting wants and needs.

my "exacting wants and needs." lol... like I've said numerous times, I like the Kolb, King and am curious about Marshall and think Colledge should be an upgrade over Faneca if only because he's not a rotting corpse. sorry if replacing other keys losses with the likes of Chansi Stuckey, over the hill Pork Chops or broken down guys like Bradley doesn't have me doing cart-wheels.

Hey Cheese way to sneak in a reference to an old Gregory Peck movie.

IF

The Hightower trade goes through.

I would like to see us sign Meweldi Moore.

Edwards would be a fine number 2.

and we need a backup NT.

I'm pretty sure the Steelers just re-signed Moore.

Yes we need a NT or two added. Maybe we are waiting so that Dan gets more reps during TC and gets into better shape. :)

:thud:

Bastards!

I would be floored if they do it, but who knows with this offseason.

.......sign LeRon McClain. Just do it. Make us happy.

The Chiefs are looking at him to play FB. I would bring him here as a short down, and change of pace RB. The guy is an absolute animal, and can play FB as well.

J/K I mean I think he is a great player, but that is just not going to happen.

For a RB, we will probably go with Alfonso Smith, or William Powell.

Right tackle Jammal Brown said his faith in Mike Shanahan and the foundation that the coach laid in his first year at the helm made re-signing with the Washington Redskins more attractive to him than any other offer he received in free agency.

Brown, seventh-year pro, on Sunday agreed to terms with Washington on a five-year, $27.5 million deal. He chose the Redskins over Arizona, Kansas City and Chicago.
Looks like we're still in the market for help at tackle. Ryan Harris is still out there.
