The Giants were behind 24 to 7 Sunday and were badly beaten up thru the start of the 4Q. But somehow they found a way to win against a very good division rival.

When we are able to do something like that, we will have arrived.

As of Game #2, we're not there yet.

we are a sloppy team and are treated that was JUSTIFIABLY by the refs....well disciplined teams...and you can pick 'em out seem to make their own breaks and never reach double digits in penalties...when you peal away the bs most games get down to a play or two...that why the lines are usually no more than two scores...and mostly one score....we will be having these group "throw up" session and looking for who to blame until we as you said jeff, "arrived" to me is no more stupid errors and excessive penalties...respect on the field has to be earned and we have not.

by the way IF that continues it will drive our skill guys totally nuts.

Really this thread should be people who hate Green vent here.

Honestly, I'm aware of the good things he does, we are talented beyond our wildest dreams 3 years ago, he's done that.

No one really thinks the guy should be fired

No kidding. I started the thread truly pissed about how unprepared we were for the Seahawk game. I blame that fully on Green. But so what. My venting about who to blame doesn't mean squat. I mean, this board allows us the a forum to vent. And title should tell some what the thread was gong to be about.

And as I've posted earlier, of course no one really expects Green to be fired. But I can dream can't I?

Question: A) why would one go to the effort of logging in to the post; B)Read all the asinine posts; C) get all bent out of shape D) then take the time to type out a response to Dennis Green is being unjustly criticized.

Jeez. Relax folks. I was venting.

But some of you frothing at the mouth... It's comical really.

The Valley so low.
I persist in thinking our talent is better this year. Yes, it's frustrating to see Rolle making his mistakes, but he's still essentially a rookie. We have DTs who surely can perform as run-stoppers--Clancy has recently, and we have plausible alternatives/back-ups. We may still have sub-par OL personnel overall, but we have more of them, and if we could just identify the best 5 and let them gel, we might have a line that would at least not be a decisive advantage to most opponents. There's been turnover in the coaching staff below Green, and it's not like some units shine and are always let down by others. Even against the 49ers, in a fairly successful game, no unit looked polished and reliable.

I do not know where to lay the blame, other than Green. Yes, we could've spent the $10 million. It wouldn't have cost nearly that to make sure we brought in some UDFA OTs. But that's the excuse that comes closest to holding water, and I don't think it does.

Now, I keep telling myself, it's early. We only lost to the NFC champs. You don't have to look smooth to go 9-7, especially if you have a favorable schedule, and we do. But if we lose the next 2 games, I will join a 'Fire Green' mail campaign--I won't be able to help myself.

For me, this is frothing at the mouth. I know, not much froth yet--no beer around. But wait.
