I agree, but can't we at least wait until after the game. I'd hate to see this team with Marmie calling the shots?:D

You think maybe you can take him back to Texas and have him coach, say . . . . UTEP?

I like Mac, but this team came out utterly unprepared today, no motivation period.

Looked like they all partied late last night, and had hangovers or something.

Pitiful...just pitiful. And I actually picked them to win this game at the pool at work...thought they'd at least make it interesting.

Ive never come out against Mac before but this game defies explanation except for inept coaching IMHO.

A players coach isn't always a winning coach. A loss like this calls for some drastic changes!

fassell will probably be available...jimmy johnson ripped him. Fossell told Jimmy that if his players did not start performing he was going to quit..jimmy said that is a big mistake in strategy...FYI.

I heard that . . . and disagree, kinda, with Johnson. At this point, Mac would be well-advised to follow Fassell in that thought.

And I'm not necessarily advocating we hire Fassell.

I have always wanted to believe in Mac, but I can no longer do that. This team came out and looked like they had never played an NFL game before. Mac sorry buddy, but your time here is done. Maybe you can take your old job back and run this D, you are at least good at that.

Before last weeks debacle in Pittsburgh, I never felt Mac was totally to blame here either. But ther eis no denying this team was unprepeared to play.

1. 3 timeouts used in 1st quarter.

2. a timeout used on the punt team (ony 10 men on the field)

3. A gameplan of trying to throw against a team that was able to be run on.

4. And promoting Jerry Sullivan to OC!

Mac isn't going anywhere right now. We don't have a single guy that could come in on an interim basis and rescue this team. Besides which, the season is over. We have 7 losses and we'd need to run the table to have a chance at the playoffs. That ain't going to happen. I do believe he will likely be packing his things come the offseason though.

Me too - always liked Mac but c'mon - we didn't even show up today and the offense is offensive. Ciao, adios afwidersen, (whatever) - good bye, go awqy! We need to purge this team of bad coaches now. Bye-bye, Hank, Joe, Sully, Johnny, Cheep and the rest of you losers.

You're a musician, right? How about writing a hauntingly depressing blues number about this season?

How much is enough? Good grief we get blown out more than any other team in the league. Fire McGinnis hire defensive assistant/quality control/special teams assistant Stan Kwan as interim coach. Hell he would fill the requirement of a minority candidate. We can assess the head coach and assistant coaches after the season. For all we know Kwan could be the man!

It may very well not happen and your reasoning is logical, however, not having a suitable interim replacement is a moot point. This team is better off with Ronald McDonald coaching. Hindsight withstanding, when was the last time we had a "capable" interim coach? The definition of interim is "until something better comes along." It wouldn't take a whole lot to do better.

I was thinking the same thing. We need a guy like Fassel or Tom Coughlin who will come in here and start kicking people in the ass! Parcells may be kind of a jerk, but he gets results. If guys don't perform or get with "his" program then they are gone!

In Arizona there are no consequences for piss-poor performance on the football field. Mac just keeps putting the same underachieving team out there to be slaughtered.

Excepting the placekicker, there is no accountability.

I think that the chance of a coaching change mid season is pretty remote even after this game for a couple of reasons:

1. The Bidwills have to buy out Mac's contract and the contracts of his assistants if they fire them.

2. If you REALLY want to plunge the team into anarchy in mid season, then a head coaching change is the way to go.

I'm not sure that changing coaches now would improve anything, win us anymore games, or accomplish anything except to make the fans feel better. Thats not enough.

An orderly transition after the season is over (if they were going to make a move) would probably be best.

I think we passed anarchy sometime ago! :bang:

Yeah, I know man. It couldn't get any worse than it is right?

But would making a change make it any better? I just can't see it. Not unless they bring someone in like Dennis Green (or another former head coach).

I mean, are we going to put sully or marmie at HC? Kauhfman? Mean Joe?

Is there anybody on the staff that you could reasonably believe would do a better job than Mac?

If not, then we need to let Mac "take one for the team" and ride this mother out until the end of the season. Then we can send the players home, wait until the reporters go away, and make the transition (if they do decide to make a move) in an orderly, dignified fashion.

After the season is when the best coaching talent will be available and willing to listen.
