We have endured more than enough of this disgrace. Period.

Make Ray Horton the HC and have Frank Reich make the game plan and call the plays for the 49ers.

Nothing would be a sweeter redemption for this debacle of a season than to arrive at SF on a mission to make the statement that we will be back with a vengeance next year.

This is for PRIDE.

This is for HOPE.

This is for not accepting egregious failure, especially from a coaching standpoint.

I want my Cardinals flying HIGH into next season...riding on new wings and renewed commitment.

Enough is enough.

Did you watch the last MNF game? The 49ers are so much more talented than the Cards that a coaching change wouldn't make any difference.

It's like the equivalent of a Alabama vs Ole Miss game.

Hard to believe that they will still be here after the season. They have to go.

Don't know about this week, but soon after the last game. I hope.

I seem to remember you complaining about me for using you as an example in my where's everybody thread. You explicity said in your Cards/Lions Post game thoughts that you never do this because of the east coast/west coast time zones.

And then after a loss, here you are, within an hour and half after a loss doing exactly what I said. And that's fine with me, you can post however you'd like.

I just find it intersting that you got all defnsive after I pointed out how, after a win, people aren't around, but, after a loss, all the critics are out with minutes of the game's conclusion.

A few more games like this one next season and there won't be anyone around at all.

Guess what? I have the freaking day off tomorrow. Think about it.

I am done with the coaches and if a complete rebuild means losing Horton I can handle that. This team sucks, our HC has built a mess on offense...he has never developed a QB, he hasn't built depth on that side of the ball at all...the free agent signings there have been laughable, with the possible exception of Jeff King. It is amazing for an offensive minded coach to be so irresponsible with that side of the ball. I wonder if the reason the defense has been progressing is the fact that he doesn't feel it is his area of expertise and defers to the judgement of defensive coaches and scouts.

And other than making you feel better, exactly what will that accomplish that wont be accomplished by waiting until after the season?

You know what? Now that you mention it, it would make me feel better to go into SF on a mission instead of on whatever pathetic excuse this is for coaching.

I want a gargantuan effort versus SF.

I want the players to know the organization is going to lead them in the right direction...

Not a week from now...

Not two weeks from now...

Not one year from now....

Not another day longer...

Not another minute longer...

I am willing to wait another 8 days...let the captain go down with the ship

Think of it a little differently...how about not letting the ship go down with the captain...

It will be a complete board meltdown if Horton escapes & isn't named HC

I see it as the ship is sinking, it is inevitable, iceberg has been struck, uncontrollable flooding below the water line...might as well make Whisenhunt suffer right along with everyone else to the bitter end.

And you send a message to every potential coach you would like to hire that the ownership is prone to emotional snap decisions designed to assuage fans' feelings.

Ummm... I almost hate to bring it up, but last week the team was smiling at Whiz and patting him on the butt. What if the team LIKES Whiz and wants to play for him and all this really is just no QB? What if the players know things about the QB situation - and other things - that the fans don't? Whiz alluded to things the reporters didn't know about a couple of weeks ago. The team knows about what's actually going on more than any of us do.

We're all frustrated. But how do we know a change of coach will affect the team's attitude and desire to play well? Just playing devil's advocate here. Sort of.

The TV coverage barely showed Whiz today. Anyone at the game see how the players were relating to him?

I don't know how it could be a snap decision at this point. I mean, we've seen some terrible football for quite some time now.

No---you send a message that being the 5th worst offense in NFL history is unacceptable...as is the QB carousel of QBs the coaches brought on board.

You send a message that when we play against Julius Peppers---he will be accounted for, not allowed to dominate the game.

You send a message that being in the cellar of the NFC West is not going to last a second longer.

Those are the messages you send.

I don't know, as long as they weren't hanging out with Skelton they should be safe.

You must be having a tough time dealing with Housler's injury on what was nearly a stunning TD catch.

I would just ask you this, Dems...please do respond, if you can---

Other than going to the Super Bowl on Kurt Warner's wings---what are the special qualities that CKW brings to the HC position?

a. charisma?
b. accountability?
c. ability to run an NFL quality offense?
d. clock management skills?
e. in game adjustments?
f. week to week adjustments?
g. ability to instill faith and trust in a QB?

Can you honestly say he has any of those qualities covered?

If you are going to do it-- you simply wait a week like a normal organization. Firing the coaching staff now does nothing for the team, or the performance next week, or what the season will be like.

Firing Whis now would be simply be ownership "adding insult to injury" -- and while that would make fans feel better, it sends a bad message to the pool of candidates for the next head coach.
