We agree.

I turned it on for like 2 minutes and he kept replaying this stupid sound bite.

"I don't want to talk sports, I want to talk about Disneyland" or something to that effect. Then he would say "Why are you on the kiddy rides?"

Then he would re-loop it. Over and over...for like the entire two minutes. Really lame.
The Big Baby Sound bite is freaking hilarious... That's Glen Davis after the Celtics won the championship and as Rome says he turned into a drunk, weird 5 year old lol. Rome's show is designed to be funny as well as informative... If you think it's stupid that's fine it's just not your style but Rome isn't really the totally serious professional type of show it's meant to make you laugh in addition to talking about current events in sports.

It was still funny the 30th time in a row he played it?

Made me regret even tuning in to hear Fitz.

Mulli, you're cool "in spite of" your devotion to the loser... BTW, how do you define "cool" and "phenomenon"?? I think the cold up there in Chi-town has not been healthy for you... ;)
I had my share of mental illness long before I moved here. I often blame my wife for moving to the land of 20 below, but it was pretty much my idea to move here when we did.

I was hooked on Rome's "coverage" of the OJ trial and Reggie White's racial stereotype speech.

Still makes me laugh to think of it.

Caliendo's impression of Rome is hilarious. I think Rome is alright. I don't dislike him, but I don't look forward to his show either.

Too bad I missed this. :(

In a teenage boy mindset it can be funny. ;)

When Rome blasts Kornheiser, I find it very enjoyable.

In Rome's defense he had the best take on the Cards after the Panthers game. HA-Larious

What is worse than Rome is the low rent version of him: Dan Bickley...

One of the funniest things I've ever heard was Jim Rome being interviewed by Bob and Tom, and Frank Caliendo called in and did his Rome impression. It was like dueling banjos. ;)

That's where I sit, he's fine in small doses, but I don't think I'd tune into his show for an entire sitting.

As far as Rome, I live in Greenville, South Carolina and the only station that has sports talk took him off the air. Now all we get is more of Clemson football. Agree Rome is an acquired taste but he is better than no professional coverage at all.

He still plays it.. though now he adds in angelina jolie crying "I want my son back!" with it... it's amazing.

I love rome and the best part about his clones writing emails and texting or his sound bytes he plays
