The New Orleans Saints have had a somewhat underwhelming offseason so far, but they have made a few quality moves to change things up entering the 2025 season. In addition to their own roster changes, many of the Saints' former players have been moving around the NFL landscape recently, including quarterback Jameis Winston joining the New York Giants.

There will be another former Saints player joining him in New York as well, with wide receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey signing a one-year deal to head there. Humphrey would be one of the players to join Sean Payton on the Denver Broncos in 2023 when the longtime Saints coach left town, and he stayed there for two seasons, performing at a decent level. Humphrey's pro career started as an undrafted rookie with the Saints out of Texas.

In 2024 Humphrey had a decent showing overall, accruing 31 receptions on 45 targets (68.9% catch rate) for 293 yards (9.5 average) and 1 touchdown. This was a career-high in receptions, targets, and receiving yards, as he continues to develop his game and be a valuable depth receiver for whichever team he ends up on. Now he will head back to the NFC, joining a team with a need at the wide receiver position, which could give him a good opportunity to work for reps.

Additionally, he will once again pair up with Jameis Winston, who connected with Humphrey during the 2021 preseason for an impressive touchdown at the back of the endzone.
