Pickens won’t be there at #55.

I think there is a risk he isn't. But them I think the WR market kicks off much later than people think (it has been doing most years).

Really depends how people view his injury history but I agree probably 75/25 against.

I still think we need to draft someone because our depth is shocking, and I'm fine with WR in rd 1 if know iOL are there but I'm leaning towards Guard right now. We can get a good WR in round 2. Pickens would be awesome.

I like Justyn Ross too. Very Keimy player as he's basically the tall version of Rondale Moore. Great Freshman year, injury issues the last 2 seasons. I don;t know how teams see him but he's well undervalued in the draft process so far. I think he's better than Dotson, Moore, Bell, Olave, Watson etc

Back in 2018 I thought Ross had more potential than Higgins and all those Alabama Wrs.

However, that kinda injury + lack of great speed concerns me. He'd be available if we went Guard in the 1st. Pickens wont be there in the 2nd round imo.

Oof that’d be a gut punch but we may not have a choice given our financial situation.

Why is it a gut punch? He had 840 yards. Was the 32nd ranked WR (and had the lowest targets out of the 31 ahead of him) for only $6m.

In fact I just scanned through the receiving leaders for last year and the only guys I can see not on a rookie contract that beat Green for value (yards/contract) was Kendrick Bourne and Marvin Jones (just) out of all vet receivers with more than 500 yards.

Bourne had 800 yards for $5m. Jones 832 yards for $7.05m. Green 848 yards for $7.25m.

Marvin Jones took a hell of a lot more targets and receptions to get less yards though.

The one area Green needs to improve if we resign him is TD's. Only 3 last year.

WR’s who quit on plays and fade in and out of focus aren’t the type of WR’s I want around Kyler. I agree that the yards do look good on paper but I didn’t feel he left any kind of significant impact on the season.

AJ's flaws are perfectly hidden when he's the 3rd option. Its why I still would want to draft a WR if we end up losing Kirk.

However, if the plan is to run it back with AJ and Wesley, lol.

The Bengals are surrounding their franchise QB with young, dynamic playmakers, and it's paying off quickly.

Meanwhile, Cards fans are talking about why bringing back a 34-year-old AJ Green wouldn't be so bad.

We are not the same.

Well, unless you have a magical way of going back in time and drafting 2 1st round receivers and 2 2nd round receivers in the last 6 drafts I don't see any other way.

How about we deal with reality and not dreams and wishes?
