If they bring him in, I wonder if he backs up Levi and Massie and Potter moves to G.

Im betting he would be brought in purely as experienced depth in case of injury.

Backup LT and would be a solid signing.

If it happens, I called it in Feb.

It would be great to have him here for Potter and Massie. Another line coach and a great back up. They said they would fix the O-line and it appears they are very close to having a very solid one. I for one am impressed.

Come on. The team has added 46 new players thus far, and one has come from the Steelers.

Unless its for the vet minimum, no thanks. He just isn't any good. Unless he is brought in to take over for Raschal's roster spot.

I have no problems with bringing this guy in as a backup/emergency option if one of our tackles falters. He's got experience, knows the system, and is low risk.

Max Starks is not a good lineman, at all. Not even for depth. For a while, he and Levi were considered two of the worst tackles in the NFL. Starks's 2012 PFF ranking was -12.7.

Pass. Would be a waste of money and a roster spot for someone.

Better than nothing. Might even be better than Levi Brown who I still say should be playing guard.

It would be a VG signing, because we are thin at OT. Also, it would give Rashard Mendenhall Steeler company.

How's that Mwelde Moore prediction going?

Down the toilet now that we drafted two RBs and signed Super-Mewelde to a one year contract.

I had predicted Drew Stanton, Moore and Starks. I wasn't confident enough to post that I thought we would sign Powers, but I should have. I didn't think we were going to cut enough players to sign Mendenhall, but we did and his price tag was lower than I thought.

That O Line tree is sure getting a good shaking. About time, and thank goodness they are finally addressing it in a serious manner.

Starks played for under a mil last year so I think he will sign for similar contract. Don't see how this is a bad deal. You get a limited, but experienced vet LT who has started for several winning teams. He is not being signed to be a starter, but gives us a capable backup at worst. When your season really depends on your offensive line, I don't see how this would be anything but a good signing.

Just remembering what we had at LT at the beginning of last season and this signing starts to look pretty good.

I've no problem with this move, regardless of how bad people think he is. You gotta bring guys in to push the backups because our backups have had it EASY here in Cardinal-land. They're allowed to say all the right things with a microphone in their face and allowed to suck on the field.
