We are getting to the point of free agency where prices will start to come down for certain players. (PLEASE save the Warner talk for the other 50 threads about him)

I do like who the Cardinals have already brought in.

McFadden would sure up our secondary and give us three CB that could start for most teams in the NFL. But the price is going to be what determines whether he is a Cardinal or not. I agree McFadden is a good player but I would pay him the same salary as I would a Rod Hood.

I like the idea of looking at LaMont Jordan, and I would hope the Cardinals are going to kick the tires of Deuce McAllister. Both are big backs and vets. Both are cheaper than Edge and as long as they are told they are going to share carries I will be happy to have either.

John Kuhn, he is a 6' 260 vet. Supposedly, he is a big time run blocker, but there are mixed reviews about his physicality. Terrelle Smith is always an option to come back, but there are plenty of old, good FB out there right now.

Onto the list (beside of course Duece McAllister as listed above):

Robert Royal, TE - Big blocking TE we are looking for

Andra Davis, ILB - Experienced 3-4 ILB, 250 lbs would be great for depth

Jason Babin, OLB - Currently listed as a DE, but played OLB for the Texans as a rookie, and is more of a fit at the position. Had 7 sacks his rookie year.

Chris Carr, CB - Special team dynamo, speed, and good 4th CB

Joe Schmo has some good names as well that we should be looking at.

One final thing is offensive linemen:

Elton Brown - No interest so far (from Cardinals or any other team)? Strange.

Matt Birk - No interest so far? That should drop his price.

Kendell Simmons - Whiz & Grimm know this guy pretty well. What is the ?????

I read that the Matt Birk on the market is certainly not the Matt Birk of old. The article said that he was dominated at the point of attack throughout the season, and just doesn't have the leg strength anymore. He's now simply a finesses centre. Added to this... he's still looking for big $$$. Conclusion was that he'd likely return to Minn.

Igor Olshansky... is another guy, I like the team to take a look at.

I only want three guys - Royal, McFadden and Kuhn. That means the Cardinals will get none. :(

Babin sucked with the Texans and only had four sacks his rookie year.

I actually feel that if we keep Boldin & Warner and can't/won't sign a FA RB, I say we should just keep James.

James is better than Jordan, and we wouldn't need to draft a RB early in the draft. We could get a guy like Ian Johnson in Round #4 or Marlon Lucky in Round #5. Hopefully we find this years Steve Slaton.

I hope the Cards look into;
OG Kendall Simmons
OC Melvin Fowler
TE Robert Royal

We need to sign:
CB Bryant McFadden

If we could get those 4 guys my draft would look like this:

Round 1 - OLB Clint Sintim
Round 2 - OLB/DE Lawrence Sidbury
Round 3 - OT Troy Kropog
Round 4 - RB Ian Johnson
Round 5 - S Troy Nolan
Round 6 - DE Kyle Moore
Round 7 - RB Marlon Lucky

Matt Birk has interest and we aren't getting him. He said that he's going to decide between the Ravens and Vikings tomorrow.

This one worries me a little.

We make a big deal out of higher profile players but Elton Brown is a swing man that has played every position save center on the offensive line.

He tends to get forgotten because we stayed healthy this year but we need him or a guy like him in the event injuries hit us.

Realistically, provided we sign our guys (Boldin, Warner, Dansby), I can see us signing Robert Royal (TE), Igor Olshansky (DE), Chris Carr (CB), and John Kuhn (FB).

Then address OLB, RB, OL, CB in the draft.

PS-If we resign Boldin, we need to trade Breaston this year, before he hits free agency.

I'd be happy with that too.

I'm pretty sure we'll be signing Kuhn. No clue on Royal. I hope on McFadden.

:lies:

What?!?! Breaston's best days are head of him and he'd be cheaper than Boldin who's on the verge of the downside of his career. That makes zero sense in my highly uneducated opinion.

Breaston will be a RFA AFTER this season if I'm not mistaken. That means that we got him for 2 more years at the cheap.

Just say no to trying to blow our team up please.
