Five year vet and a solid saftey.

We need 3 safties for the defense we run.

He might be a better fit than KK for what we need him for and that is coverage.....that being said I don't know if Holt is any better than KK.

Furthermore I think we should see if Griffith would could back for one more year.

He would definately add depth, and be a great backup.

I have a feeling that they will put a press on this guy tomorrow. I think bringing him in means it's not going to work out with Hood or KK.

Why are we not looking at Hamlin or Grant, they are much better than Holt or KK.

Is anyone looking at these guys. Remember Hamlin got his skull cracked. He may be damaged goods.

That was the season before last. He just played all 16 games this year, he's fine. The Saints, for one, were looking at him.

I think we arent looking at Hamlin because of his OTF incident two years ago. Precisely the kind of guy this team wont touch. To bad too. I would love to have him.

Our new DB coach Tyrell Austin was Hamlin's DB coach in Seattle. You've got to figure he knows something about Hamlin.

Whiz has already stated that he feels we need depth at CB and S not big names.

KK and Holt both fit that description. They would be able to come in and compete for the starting position from day one. Worst case scenario is that they provide quality depth at FS.

Do you guys think we are actually looking at Holt, or is it to put pressure on KK.

Either way at least they have a FS backup plan in place if they cant sign one or the other. We just need a TE plan B now.

What about OT plan A?

Thomas, Gandy, Ross in that order.

I'd like a plan A that doesn't include garbage (Gandy & Ross) or that by a miracle Thomas falls to us at #5...but oh well, they didn't think ahead, I should be used to that.

Kelly is sooo much better than Holt when it comes to take aways.
At the combine Vermeil said, "At the end of the year, you watch the tape to see how many of those are interceptions and how many were gifts." As in the QB hit them in the numbers.

Or something like that. :)
