I just heard the sound of Keef's value hitting rock bottom.

These people have had emotional issues since draft day, when Marcus cried like a baby out of bitterness after Markeiff got drafted before him.

I'd like to know the unmentioned sources. One can guess but I would prefer not too.

Trade him then. He is only going to be a cancer during the season, so better off getting rid of the problem before it starts

get a first for him while you can. He's a cancer and will only spread throughout the team the longer he's here.

Trade him then.

To whom and for what? Who else is going to want him now?

I think a buyout makes more sense. He's owed $32 million over the next four years. Maybe he'd take $20M to go away. If another team is willing to offer something of value, then obviously you do that, but if the Suns just have to dump him with nothing coming back, I'd rather have the roster space flexibility than whatever dreck is the other side of the trade equation.

Or, I bet the Magic would take him straight-up for Frye, who a lot of people on this board seem to think would be the Suns' missing piece.

No way I'd give him a buyout if it comes to that. A buyout would be the worst option unless he almost completely buys out his contract. I'm guessing the Suns could put him on the inactive list until a trade can be worked out. His contract is an absolute bargain. Some team will take a chance on him and give up a draft pick or two.

Good, he's forcing management's hand. I was worried he would collect his money and be a cancer but at least he is telling them to get him out of here up front. I'm sure management wasn't naive enough to think he would get over his brother's trade and become a model teammate and player, maybe McD has been shopping for a deal this whole time.

I'm gonna throw up if the best we can get for Kieff is Channing freaking Frye. I hope the Suns aren't that stupid.

Frye makes no sense for this team. We could have used him last season when we still had Goran and no Chandler.

If the Suns should decide to trade Markieff, I can see a team like the Rockets or Mavericks as an option. These teams seem willing to roll the dice.

He's under contract. If he wants out he should just commit another felony and go to jail for the year.

What a freaking baby! This is the NBA, players get traded. Since when is there some sort of special privilege for these two to play together. He has a contract. He has an obligation to honor it.

Just because a player wants out does not mean his value plummets. I don't get this. The Suns got two first round picks for Goran and he was a rental. Kieff is locked up for 5 years on a good deal. It is in the Suns best interest to wait for a decent offer, regardless of team chemistry or all the whining and complaining.

McD just has to tell Kieff, "We are willing to trade you, but we are not trading you for less than value. So if you want out of here, you better keep quiet and play hard and maybe we will get a win-win offer."

The funny thing is that the more these two whine and complain about being separated, the more they guarantee they will never play on the same team again. You know other GMS are taking notice.

He is a piece of garbage. But still tradeable. There is no way we'd be better off buying him out than trading him. We didn't have to buy out his far more worthless brother, we won't need to buyout Kieff. But this certainly does hurt his value.

I'm guessing a protected first and an expiring contract is the most likely outcome.

So once Kieff gets traded, who becomes the starting PF? Teletovic or Leur?

He is a very good young player on a bargain contract. Buying him out is beyond stupid.

His value also did not hit rock bottom. The Suns position just got a lot weaker. Markieff still clearly has positive value.

Especially since this is only between the Suns and Kieff and has no affect on anonther team if they trade for him.

The court case is probably not going to amount to anything serious either.

I am with Eric on this one. Average, soft power-forward who is a complete headcase doesn't have much value. It boggles my mind that people forget you need two teams to make a trade. The other team has to want Markieff, AND willing to give up something for him. Don't get me wrong, there may be a terrible team out there that is willing to take a chance, but those teams typically have very little to trade.

The Suns were very lucky to have signed Mirza. IMO, he more than capable of starting.
