Interesting blurb on Coro's pre-game blog. He doesn't talk about it at all in the body of his post, but his lineup has Gortat and not Frye as the starting PF. That'll be music to some posters' ears here.

Edit: Nash's game is all about spacing. Having 2/5 of your lineup not able to shoot beyond 10 feet is not going to work. And just stop with the Lopez is a good outside shooter crap.

I probably agree. I just a starting lineup. Maybe its a way to just try to establish a defensive presence early.

I actually believe Lopez and Gortat can play together. While perhaps not consistent both are capable of hitting a 15 footer if let open. I think it's Dragic that needs more spacing than Nash, just like last season when the 2nd unit had the best shooters and gave him more lanes to attack the basket.

Initial thought, I think the Suns want to clog up the middle defensively. That has been their focus in practice. This might be a first, the Suns trying to lead with defense.

Unfortunate for Gentry. Trying to put a working lineup together should be a preseason problem.

Actually it isn't that far off from what I like in the latter part of the 4th... Nash-VC-Hill-Dudley-Gortat and they actually ran that lineup at the end of the game and were squashed. Glad I'm not a coach
