You must be so happy. We are tanking just like you want.

You must be high if you think they tanked this game. ;)

Better to lose this game than deceive yourself and win a meaningless game they did not deserve to win.
It was the best possible outcome, lose a to one of our lottery rivals and see the young guys Morris and Lopez do well.

Guys, get real here. The suns ARE NOT looking to tank.

Let me say that SARVER is not looking to tank this season. If we truly were, we'd try to get something for Nash/Grant or both. Before the game started today Nash got on the mic and told the fans to hang in there because the suns will give it all they've got this season-LOL

I too would be happy about this loss if we were looking to tank. Problem is were not. The problem is that the suns will try hard and win just enough games to throw them in the 9-10 spot in the west which will result in a crappy mid-teen draft pick.

Sarver wants to make the playoffs by all means necessary to get some more $$$$$$$$$$$$$ revenue. That cheeky bastard.

No the Suns ARE tanking. They tried to find a way to lose in the end and they did. Suns know in their heart that they could have won if they tried and that's whats most important.

Go 2012 draft!!!

There is no margin of error for the Suns to win. That's what happened tonight. Close but no cigar.

I don't think anybody believes the Suns are actually trying to tank - not with bottom line Bob in charge - but if we continue to struggle out the gate and find ourselves out of the race by the end of January then they might change their thinking and make some moves at the deadline to prepare us for rebuilding. One can only hope :)

The hornets are awful, and we just lost to them at home. I would be surprised if we won over 20 games this season. I'm predicting 17-22 wins.

lows:

hill and brown.

Don't forget Channing Frye... I like Frye, but he sucked tonight.

Shannon Brown is a black hole... over dribbling & gunning.

Also, I didn't see anything good from Telfair... Ronnie Price at least can play some defense... neither of them can run an offense.

i like frye too, he'll go hot and cold for the season. he gets a pass for this one game.

i thought nash would run out of gas before hill, but it looks like hill has first.

brown, agreed on that.

highs:
lopez
nash
gortat
morris

i know its only one game, but lopez tonight...playing the way he did makes me think he realy was injured last season.

i like price. brings some D with that second unit. telfair is where he should be, third pg on the list. we forget how small he actually is.

I think that's the idea. Develop players you have as much as possible while not necessarily worrying about winning games. The more we lose, the better our chances for one of the top draft picks. I am OK losing all 66 games this year as long as guys like Lopez, Gortat, Dudley, and Morris continue to improve.
+1
I'll see you on the other side :)

Disagree about Nash. He was not bad tonight, but he is clearly not cut out to carry a team on a regular basis now. He needs good players around him.

Its time to free Steve Nash.

Bright spots for the future are Lopez and Morris. I wonder if Lopez can be extended.

Let's not get carried away. Lopez was due for one of these games considering he had not scored 20 points since Feb 26th 2010. Also, he has had only 7 double digit rebounding games in 4 seasons......in 4 seasons!!!

Sorry but I don't get excited bout Lopez scoring when this teams needs more defense and rebounding....you know the two things he was drafted for.

Voice of reason :) It was 1 game... if he can average 15 points & 8 rebounds in 24 minutes over the 1st 15-20 games then I'll be impressed. I've been keying in on Lopez defensively & he's actually pretty good playing 1-on-1 defense when his guy has the ball. His problems are when he needs to help & can't recover or he gets mesmerized by the PG with the ball & loses track of his man.

What I've liked so far in the last 2 games is that he's actually grabbing rebounds, boxing out & playing strong. Hopefully he keeps it up.

To heck with the voice of reason. Let's all talk up that one game so we can ship his sorry butt off to some fool for a first round pick (or even two). Seriously though, it may have been flukey but it's been quite awhile since he showed this well so it has me hopeful.

I'm still wondering if Lopez can be extended. Whether he should be extended is another matter. Certainly one game does not tell the story. I'm always into options.
