Good job of making my point for me!

and yours with mine with the ice fishing comment.

I went to Green Bay when the cards played there at the end of the season in like 2006 or so.

I love the town. Ate at Brett Favres steakhouse, excellent meal. The waitresses were so hot my buddy and I figured we would hit a strip club to see if the women were all that beautiful.....Evidently Favre hires the hottest girls in town to waitress lol

But I really enjoyed my time there. I was one of maybe 100 cards fans there and while there was some ribbing at the restaurant it was all in fun.

The guy behind me in the stadium did get a little too drunk and rude to me and was making fun of my jersey. But the other packers fans told him to shut it because I was wearing a Tillman jersey.

Hope to go back sometime.

Good for you,and I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your time in Green Bay.

Those were fun times, regardless of the attendance. Everyone in that building was a legit fan. I look back fondly on the SDS days as crazy as that sounds, and I miss them sometimes.
My wife said to me the other day that "everyone" at her office was a Cardinals fan. My first reaction was that they're all fair weather fans. When I moved from Arizona 6 years ago, I'd be the only person wearing a Cardinals hat or shirt when I went out. Now I move back to Phoenix and they are everywhere.

But then I realized that it's not a bad thing to have a popular team. This is how it should be. All the other teams have a bunch of fans. What's wrong with the Cardinals having that. Wishing for the days of 20,000 people in a stadium is just wrong. We have a good team and what's so wrong about the community supporting them.

Go Cards!

All I know is that every single time anyone in my family sees a car with Wisconsin plates (and this time of year that's every dang day) someone is going to yell out, "EAT CHEESE OR DIE!!"

Then we all disolve into mad laughter and have to steer the car back onto the road.

So would say it would be a fair assessment to say a majority of Card fans were not around for those 60 years?

Yes, as per much of the human race. Thanks for furthering my point that the Cardinals have had to endure much worse, for much longer.

A majority have never seen the team do ANYTHING good while living and breathing on this earth. Thus their entire life from the moment of birth, the Cardinals never really won anything. That kinda makes it even more amazing, and odds defying. Never thought of it that way.

While I would say a majority of Packer fans think of Brett Farve and those great playoff games versus the Rams and Cowboys. And even more saw both the Farve era, and the Lombardi eras. And all the while, the Cardinals never won anything.

Hang in there guys.

We have a small but albeit mighty fan base.

When I changed schedules with a fellow worker for Sunday so I could get off at the start of the game my nosy sup had to ask why....of course I said the Cards are playing.

His response was....Cardinals?.....Cardinals?

I walked away laughing.

de ja vu all over again.

maybe its the 30000 who are coming to AZ eh :biglaugh:

Oh, you were serious? You must have missed the story. There was 14 inches of snow on the ground in the 8 hours before that game, and still a foot coming during and after the game. Roads were closed, so the only way to get to the game was on foot or via snowmobile. The fact that 20,000 people made it to that game is a miracle in itself.
